A hidden gem.
So far I tried the breakfast burrito with chorizo, beans, and eggs.

And Carne asada fries

Both so good! The place is clean and quiet.

The chorizo tasted very fresh and tasty
The asada fries were warm and the meat was well seasoned and easy to bite.

The customer service was very good aswell.

Amazing food! It’s our first time trying this place and the size of the California burrito that I ordered was huge! I was very impressed and will be returning for sure! This is a new food spot for me and my family we loved it, since being in Vegas everything is so expensive for small portions of food they give you. I didn’t get a picture before I started eating but will still post a picture.

I got the Cali Burrito with some extras on the side. The taste was pretty good and ratios of ingredients also pretty decent.

I think the meat seasoning was a little strange compared to other places I have tried in the area, but by no means bad.

Recommend giving them a shot, definitely a solid and reliable option!

A friend recommended this spot and I was hesitant, I assumed how can a place in a strip mall surrounded by auto repair shops be as good as he said. I was so wrong, this restaurant is clean, friendly and attentive staff and the food was excellent. I ordered the Carne Asada plate and it came freshly grilled topped with onions and jalapeños, rice, beans, lettuce, tomato and sliced avocado plus 3 corn tortillas ($15.99). I enjoyed my meal at the restaurant but they appear to do a good take-out business from the foot traffic I observed. My meal was served in a real plate with real silverware (nothing plastic).

Was looking for good carne asada burrito and came across this place after Don Tortaco let us down and let us wait 15 minutes and no one took our order, great service and good was great, burrito was big as a my forearm and the carne asada fries were bomb, we definitely will comeback!!

As a self-professed connoisseur of all things spicy, savory, and sumptuously satisfying, discovering La Chilanga Mexican Food on Simmons St in North Las Vegas was like hitting the flavor jackpot. This little gem might be modest in size, but it’s a titan when it comes to taste.

Walking in, you’re greeted by the kind of warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel less like a customer and more like a guest at a family feast. The seating may be limited, but it’s all about the close-knit, communal dining experience that true food lovers cherish.

Let’s talk about the food, because, oh, the food! The Chilanga torta I had was a masterpiece of meaty, cheesy, eggy excellence – each layer telling its own delicious tale. It’s the kind of sandwich that demands your full attention and both hands. My wife Toni opted for the carne asada fries and a trio of street tacos. The fries were a harmonious medley of crisp potatoes, tender carne asada, fresh toppings, and delectable sauces, while the tacos were a textbook example of simplicity done right: just good meat, fresh onions, and cilantro on a soft corn tortilla.

And let’s not forget those squeeze bottles of red and green hot sauce – silent heroes adding that perfect hit of heat. As for portions, let’s just say you won’t leave hungry. La Chilanga understands the assignment when it comes to a satisfying meal.

I’ve attached photos to give you a visual taste of what awaits you at La Chilanga. Whether it’s a casual lunch break or a family dinner, you’re in for a treat. So, if you find yourself in North Las Vegas with a hankering for authentic Mexican cuisine, make your way to La Chilanga.

It’s a place where every bite tells a story – a delicious, well-seasoned, heartily generous story.

One of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to in Las Vegas! Tucked away but so yummy. I had the birria tacos and my wife tried a soft and hard taco. Everything was delicious and well priced.

We come here all the time! The cheese enchiladas and burritos are our favorite! But every thing we’ve tried has been amazing, fresh, and cooked deliciously. These are pictures of our take out order-whether we dine in or take out the food has always been high quality and delicious.

This is a great restaurant, the food was fresh and the service was good. I had the flautas de pollo and quesabirria taco. They were both flavorful and the portion size was on point! The prices were very reasonable.

Food was good but the meat could have been better seasoned or marinated longer.
