I had the chicken bowl and my friend had the lamb gyros. It was a huge amount of food and it was fresh, delicious, plentiful and came out quickly. They were both $15 and it was well worth it. There are picnic tables with umbrellas in a fenced area. I will be dreaming about that bowl and will definitely be back!

This is the second time we’ve eaten here and they have great food and friendly service. Today Ahmed helped us – very helpful and the salad and lamb arabi were both delicious! The baklava was the perfect dessert. Got the chicken last time and it’s also tasty. We’ll definitely be back!

Glad we walked and found this place. The food is wonderful! We tried 4 different meals and everything was delicious. Ive never been a big baklava fan but that was until I had this one! It was so good, we’ll definitely be back for more. Many thanks!

Super satisfied as a first-time customer. The service was prompt and staff were absolutely kind. I thought the prices were a little steep at first, BUT the portions are plentiful. Plenty of veggies. But the most important thing for me, the food was solid!
Definitely coming back, this time asking for a little more extra hot sauce

Ridgefield is in desperate need of food diversification, as such Shawarma Refuge is a great addition and a wonderful change in pace when the other options can be a little redundant.
The food offerings are of the typical Mediterranean-type, but with a touch of Arab flavour and love. I had the Chicken Shawarma and my wife had the Falafel plate.
Both are served with Jasmine Rice, Hummus, and a salad along with the main entrees. The jasmine rice and hummus are of amazing quality, competing with restaurant-level quality. Hummus can be very tasteless. Even at good restaurants. My entire family loves the hummus, it is incredibly flavourful. I typically don’t enjoy the salad that often is served with shawarma, but even that was delicious. The chicken and falafel are AMAZING. I would come every day for the falafel alone. It is traditionally made and created from scratch daily. You just don’t see that kind of quality and attention to detail, even in Middle Eastern or Mediterranean restaurants. Ultimately, I would describe their food as fresh, light, and delicious.
Not to mention that Faiz and Basam were incredibly kind and generous to me, they were great hosts!
It really may seem too good to be true, but I’m a snob for good, quality food, and I truly believe that when the time comes to try something a little different, bring you and your family over for some top tier food.

Shawarma Refuge is an absolute delight and a true gem in Ridgefield! The chicken and lamb shawarma are incredibly tender, juicy, and bursting with authentic Lebanese spices, wrapped perfectly with fresh veggies, pickles, and that addictive garlic sauce. The hummus is silky smooth, falafel crispy and flavorful, and don’t skip the baklava for a sweet finish. Generous portions, fresh ingredients, friendly service from a welcoming food truck vibe. Hands down the best Middle Eastern spot around—I’ll be back often!

Best Shawarma we’ve had since visiting London. We got a chicken and a kabab. Chicken was absolutely loaded, perfectly seasoned, fresh. Kabab was perfection, lovedddd the tabouleh in it. Tahini was bright and plentiful. Worth the money for sure. Can’t wait to go back!
