So this is something that’s not clear anywhere else in this Google listing.
It is inside a government building. You have to go through security to get into this government building.
This is the cafeteria of a government building.
They’ll let you in, and you’re totally welcome to eat there, but you will have to go through a metal detector and present ID. I was not expecting that.
The kitchen looked clean, so I won’t comment there, but it was really awkward.

Don is very friendly and welcoming. He was acommondating when preparing my food, ensuring that everything was made to my liking, and it was!!! I ordered scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. This very simple meal was of 5 star restaurant quality. I took a bite in the car just to sample it, and ended up eating it all in the parking lot! Believe me when I tell you, I WILL BE BACK! If you are in the Riverdale area stop by! I for one know how hard it is to find good and affordable restaurants, with quality food options, so you can take my word for it that Don’s Cafe is one of Riverdale’s Best Kept Secrets!! Go find out why!!!
