My friends & I enjoyed dinner on the deck during a lovely evening. This place is on a small lake with great views w/plenty of parking. Our service was fantastic from start to finish. The menu is geared towards Mediterranean / American food with reasonable prices. We enjoyed the complimentary pickles & olives & then ordered a bunch of food to graze: Hummus (outrageous), Calamari (very tender but we weren’t a fan of all the peppers in it nor the marinara), Falafel (great texture), Taboule (great serving & delish), Kibbeh (it was OK, we didn’t care for it as much as we expected), grilled shrimp entree (loved the rice, shrimp were overcooked), Cheesecake (yum) & Baklava (pretty good) along with several cocktails. We wished they had Baileys but perhaps they will get it after their soft opening is over. The outdoor chairs are very hard & uncomfortable ; they need cushions. We met the owners & they were so nice. Freddy cooks & his wife is the hostess. They made us feel very welcome & we will certainly be back!!

What a fabulous place! You absolutely have to try this new restaurant in Stanhope: Freddy’s Lake House Bar & Grill. The owners are genuinely amazing people, and they make the most authentic Mediterranean food. I wanted to try everything. There are so many options to choose from that are healthy, fresh, and delicious. The service was superb, everything was newly renovated, and the atmosphere is fun and gorgeous, right on the lake.
I am gluten-free and I’m always looking for new restaurants that family can eat at safely. I was THRILLED to learn they have a completely separate gluten-free menu available with over 40 items that are gluten-free. This is almost unheard of: they even have a separate dedicated gluten-free fryer.
Wow! (If anyone has cross-contamination sensitivity, this is the place to go!) I will be back in a couple days with another friend to review more of the menu, and I will be hosting an event here next month as well.

We went to Freddy’s close to 5pm on Saturday night. We opted for outdoor seating. We were immediately seated, and our drink orders were taken. Service was very friendly. We played cornhole while we waited. Food came out quick. Our table got mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders as appetizers. As entrees, the MVP burger, Reuben, chicken quesadilla, and the shish tawook platter with rice. It was delicious, hot, and fresh. Price point for the food was good. This will definitely be a new favorite place of ours!

Had a small 13 person celebration. 1st, staff was amazing overall. Good vibes, great sense of humor. Caden (sorry if misspelled) was an amazing server, took care of all 13 of us with ease and a wonderful attitude and sense of humor. 2nd, atmosphere very warm, inviting, comfortable, beautiful. Last but NOT lease the food. With 13 people we tried too many things to list but everything was perfect. Nice mixture of flavors, perfect options for everyone to be included. Have to mention how soft the calamari is, no rubbery areas and perfectly cooked. But try as many things as you can. Love the experience. Thank you Freddy’s for making our special event even better.

We were there yesterday to celebrate me having completed my cancer treatment; I was with the party of 13 my sister Kim Hoyt mentioned in her review and I couldn’t agree more. Caiden (sp?) was so wonderful and friendly and helped make yesterday just perfect, as were the other staff members! I really appreciated them coming up to me to say congratulations and to wish me good health! I LOVED the vibe and decor and view and every single thing we ordered was just delicious! I’m so glad someone gifted me a gift certificate to Freddy’s, I can’t wait to go back! Thank you all so much for doing a wonderful job in making my little celebration absolutely amazing!

Staff was friendly, food was amazing and authentic. For stuffed grape leave lovers like myself, they are homemade and the best! The owner came out to introduce himself and was also very friendly. There are great waterfront views, a cute deck with umbrellas for shade to sit outside. The inside was very simple and clean. Will definitely be returning!
