Columbia has a SOLID Texas style BBQ joint…Boot Stompin’ BBQ. It was late afternoon when I arrived and Bobby (Pitmaster) warmly greeted me and we started talking about BBQ. I like to sample a variety, so I went with the Bobby’s Usual of brisket, jalapeño cheddar sausage, and pulled pork with Bobo’s Hot Corn + Hillbilly Beans. He offered onions, pickles, and jalapeños as side condiments along with their homemade BBQ sauce. I initially sampled the meats without sauce, but I have to say the sweet/smoky flavor of the sauce is a great compliment to the meats. You can tell Bobby learned his trade from Texas…solid brisket with a thin fat cap with a nice peppery crust. The pulled pork was perfect…moist and tender but still maintaining firmness. While the sausage is not made in-house, you could have fooled me. Nice crispy skin with a good jalapeño kick and plenty of cheese. The sides are exceptional! I loved the sweetness of the beans, and the Bobo Corn (I believe it’s grandma’s recipe) was addicting. Don’t let the name fool you…there’s a little heat, but the flavors are wonderful. I chopped a bit of onion and pork into the beans, a great flavor combination.

The atmosphere is bright and open with some Texas decor…great place for family. Really good food and excellent service from this TX style BBQ spot…looking forward to my next visit to Columbia for more.

Top notch brisket and bbq. The sides are so well done, also. Some of the best bbq in all of Nashville area. We’ve been multiple times. Tacos are fire as well and tried for the first time today. Owners and staff are fantastic and have created a great atmosphere with excellence. Review well past due.

wonderful and attentive service, you could walk up and smell the BBQ goodness immediately walking through the door. my fiancé and i had the nachos and tacos with sweet teas and the good ol’ pudding (not pictured because it was devoured) to top everything off and we were not disappointed. the location has plenty of parking as well. we will definitely be back!

Great BBQ place in Columbia. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pulled BBQ and cheddar jalapeno sausage were my favorites, and the brisket was good, too. I’d get the same sides again—hot corn and hillbilly beans.

People! My wife and I love traveling the Southeast and hunting down the best BBQ we can find. We’ve tasted our way from Kansas City to Memphis, Nashville, and all across the Carolinas. So believe me when I say: Boot Stomping BBQ in Columbia, TN absolutely blew us away today.

As always, I went for the BBQ sampler to get a little bit of everything. Every bite — every meat and every side — was exceptional. But the brisket? Hands down, the best I’ve ever had. And yes, that includes spots in Texas known for their legendary brisket.

This place is family-owned, fueled by love, faith in Jesus, and a genuine passion for serving incredible food. If you aren’t lucky enough to live in Columbia, make it a field trip. This BBQ is worth the drive!

The food was absolutely fantastic. I had the nachos with brisket and sausage. The portions are large and the bar-b-que sauce was sweet with a little bit of spice to it.
The owners are wonderful people that really care about the quality of the food.
If you are in the area, don’t question it…..just stop in and enjoy!

This place is hands down the best BBQ in town. You can smell the smoky aroma as soon as you pull up, thanks to the meat being cooked right out front. It’s a genuinely local gem, with friendly staff who make you feel at home every time. The barbecue itself is mouthwateringly tender and full of authentic, smoky flavor, exactly what real BBQ should be. If you’re looking for a true local spot that consistently delivers incredible barbecue, you’ve got to try this one.

Stomped in as we were passing through town on a road trip. Nice brisket with a good bark, the corn was on point but the star of the show was either the sausage or the kind folks who own the place. The restaurant has a cozy industrial vibe that was inviting.
