Wonderful small town restaurant! It’s so nice to have an Indian restaurant in this area. We have been here several times and haven’t had anything we don’t like. The butter chicken is wonderful. If you don’t want spicy, try the mixed grill. It’s chicken with a large amount of perfectly cooked veggies!
The garlic Naan is also a good choice!

We were delighted to pass this authentic Indian restaurant during the holidays & made an impromptu stop. The food & service were great & we were overjoyed not having to go to Toledo or a bigger city to get this treat. I can say it is authentic as I am Indian. The veggy pakora’s were our favorite! The garlic naan is always a good pick. The butter chicken is always our 1st choice as is the mango lassi (mango buttermilk smoothie) for the kids. We will definitely visit again. Thanks for bringing a touch of spice to small town NW Ohio!

We tried this place at around 2pm on a Saturday. It was one of the best meals I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. We ordered the butter chicken, and the lemon chicken, and got the chili chicken as an appetizer all three of them were perfect. Would recommend anyone in the area try it, especially if you like Indian food.

This is honestly the worst Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to, and I would never recommend it to anyone. I ordered the Paneer Tikka Masala, and it was terrible — the dish was far too salty, and the paneer pieces were huge, undercooked in the middle, and so hard to chew. It was one of the most unpleasant meals I’ve had.
I also ordered the Bhalla Chaat, which was extremely spicy and completely unbalanced in flavor. On top of that, the cleanliness was shocking — the cups we were served had visible lip stains on them, as if they hadn’t been washed properly. That was absolutely unacceptable and made the entire experience even worse.
Overall, this place desperately needs improvement. Between the bad food and poor hygiene, they’re ruining the true taste and reputation of Indian cuisine. I will never return, and I strongly advise others to avoid this restaurant.

I’ve gone several times and have been blown away by it each time. Besides an Indian making some Chicken Curry for me, this was my first experience. The food is delicious beyond belief(tried 5 different entree’s and they all were amazing). The service has been top notch each visit. I can’t recommend them any more highly. A+

The food is so flavorful and authentic! We weren’t sure what to order so went with our sweet waitress’s recommendations and were very happy with our meals. Butter chicken with garlic naan, chicken malai tikka, and the mango lassi drink are all delicious! We will definitely be back to try more of their dishes.

I have been excited for Samrat ever since it was announced. I tried Daily Grill in Napoleon once and it was good, but now that I have tried Samrat, I think Samrat is better. I had butter chicken with naan bread and it was great.I would like to see rice included with the main course. Other than that, everything was great. We had gulab jamun as a dessert, and it was a good ending for the meal.
Everyone liked what we ordered and I will make sure to make to come back and invite family and friends! Overall, the price wasnt bad at all, the owner (i think) was very friendly and so was the waitress. Was around $20 per person, which for something new and different wasn’t bad for me. If you are around the area, this place is a good stop for different food, just make sure to research what you would like before ordering. Indian food isn’t for everyone, but you will grow to like it here. I highly recommend giving these guys a try!

We are so happy to have authentic Indian food in NW Ohio! This was our first visit. We ordered naan, samosa, tandoor chicken, and chicken biryani. All were very good. The service was friendly and timely. We wish you well in your new business.

It’s built in a small-town bar building, in a nice little village. Has the feel of most Indian restaurants that are family-run, complete with a couple of adorable youngsters appearing from time to time. The service was great, the place was clean, and the food was awesome! Ya just wouldn’t expect such a jewel out in the countryside, but it’s there, in Ney, Ohio
