The Library’s got it all– cozy atmosphere, fun vibe, great food, friendly fellow customers, and most of all fantastic drinks made by the best bartender around, Michael. From the first time I visited the Library, Michael made me feel like an old friend and very welcome guest. He’s known for his espresso martinis, but he also makes a mean cosmo. My visits to Detroit don’t feel complete unless I stop in to the Library for a delicious drink and fun conversation with Michael. Highly recommend!

I was looking for something close to the convention center and this popped up in my search. And I’m so happy it did! This place is just fantastic. It’s an old building and they retained all of the old world charm. Fireplaces, large windows, high ceilings. And they’ve created a lounge space with couches, low tables, and soft lighting. Beyond that, the food and drinks are top notch! If you go during happy hour… they have one of the best deals I’ve seen in a long time. We split the meatballs and burrito salad. But it was a tough choice to narrow down on what to order. So we’ll be going back to try more! Highly recommend.

We found this gem by getting invited by my friend Mike. He just told me he bartended at a place downtown and I should stop up. I didn’t realize it was going to be a whole experience. Mike really made us feel like we are VIPs. He made the girls drinks that made them feel special. This is one of our favorite places now. We will be back often.

Started out as a nice atmosphere until we sat at the bar and was told it was close because the bartender had been there since the am and it wasnt even posted closing time! All we wanted were 3 drinks and we would have been on our merry way ♀️ not interested in returning. There are other places more welcoming….12/2023

I ordered a cocktail that had vodka and whiskey. I dont like whiskey personally so i asked if it could be made just without whiskey. The dark haired older bartender says “i think itd be a terrible drink but sure” theres no need to be so nasty when people have different tastes. 0/5 service

Literally the coziest bar ever. So lowkey and quiet. This is definitely a place I’d wanna bring my iPad and just curl up in a chair and scroll away for hours. They also have a happy hour! I got a margarita and the lamb tacos. Both were really good. I really appreciate the meat being hot on my tacos when my food arrived. I will absolutely, positively be back.
