French press coffee service did not include spoons for stirring which needed to be requested, and was not very hot, sadly. We needed to request more sugar as the little stash provided wasn’t enough for 2. Sugar cubes would have elevated that experience.
The sizzling feta appetizer wasn’t sizzling or even melted all the way and was accompanied by a variety of raw veggies which were not dippable, it was odd to eat but flavorful. I ended up crafting a little salad with the plentiful garnish greens and sliced veggies.
Entrees were served in beautiful bowls but no charger or second plate to add side dishes to or place unwanted food bits. We ordered side veggies but had nothing to eat them on aside for our mostly empty entree bowls.
Generally speaking the food was beautiful, fresh and underwhelming and under seasoned. We needed to request table salt and pepper to season the food ourselves. I rarely add salt to any food I eat, so that says something.
The chairs are SUPER comfortable.
The server treated us well and met all of our requests with a professional smile. It would have been nice for needs to be anticipated and not have to request so many things that could have been standard. Especially since they automatically add 20% gratuity. It was a nice experience but could be improved with simple adjustments.
The beef carpaccio was the weakest dish of the night. It tasted dry with a slightly metallic note, lacking the freshness, tenderness, and clean flavor that define a good carpaccio.
In contrast, the Stone Fruit and Burrata Salad was excellent and easily the standout. The burrata was fresh and creamy, and the overall flavor profile was balanced, bright, and well composed.
The champagne-infused Dungeness crab pasta was disappointing. A well-made crab pasta should taste clean, lightly sweet, and delicate, with the crab enhancing the sauce. Instead, this dish arrived with an overly strong fishy aroma, which immediately raised concerns about freshness. The sauce tasted like a basic, bland Alfredo, with no noticeable brightness or complexity to justify the “champagne-infused” description.
Service was adequate but minimal. I was seated on time and food arrived reasonably quickly, but staff checked in only once, which felt inattentive.
Overall, while the menu shows promise, the meal lacked consistency, with only one dish truly delivering on its potential.
They add in gratuity on your check, but they do highlight it so it’s brought to your attention. I highly recommend!
Our server, Aaron, was incredible from start to finish. Attentive, kind, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu. He made us feel taken care of the entire evening.
The food was fantastic. We ordered the mussels and scallops, and both dishes were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I also tried the caramel apple margarita and WOW… it was the perfect balance of sweet, smooth, and creative. I’d go back for that drink alone!
Overall, Jane’s is a must-visit. Beautiful food, beautiful mission, and excellent service. I’ll definitely be returning.
From start to finish, every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor.
The tuna poke bowl was fresh and vibrant, with perfectly seasoned tuna, creamy avocado, crunchy cucumber, and crisp edamame balanced by a flavorful dipping sauce. The textures of the rice crackers and the light sesame garnish tied it all together.
The shrimp cocktail was a classic done right—plump, juicy shrimp served chilled with a tangy cocktail sauce that packed the perfect punch.
For dessert, the blueberry and lemon cheesecake was indulgent yet refreshing. The creamy cheesecake layer paired beautifully with the tart berry compote and citrusy sauce, while the whipped cream added just the right touch of sweetness.
The buttery layered pastry bites were another standout, delicate and crisp on the outside yet soft inside, served with edible flowers that made the presentation as beautiful as the flavor.
To top it off, the mango chamoy cocktail was both refreshing and fun—a perfect mix of sweet, tangy, and spicy with a rim of chili powder and a garnish of lime and dried fruit.
Overall, the meal was a delightful mix of fresh seafood, creative flavors, and elegant desserts. Each dish was carefully crafted, making it an experience worth remembering and repeating.
