Duffy’s Grill, a fan favorite, opened in Akron, Ohio, in 1945. In 2005, w/ new ownership, & the same time-tested recipes, guests still had a gathering place they could call home! In 2007, Duffy’s upgraded to premium USDA Choice beef for our hand-cut, flame-broiled steaks, a move that landed Duffy’s a top spot in the 2007 Beacon Journal ‘Best Steaks’ poll!!”As Dale C. said it best: (5 stars) “I go to Duffy’s to get the jockey steak dinner which is fantastic. I’ll get breakfast steak & eggs on weekends sometimes too. Hand-cut steaks with no fat or junk to cut off whatsoever—just 100% delicious steak. I would rather go to Duffy’s than any chain steak house.Yes, ANY!”

I think this is now 727 GastroPub. The drinks were good and so was the food. The male owner is nice enough but the female owner is not so friendly. They are a husband and wife ownership. I don’t know that all of us will be back. The owners don’t engage with their customers at all other than the husand is the bartender. He takes your order makes the drink and walks away. It seems as though if you aren’t their friend or in their friend group, they don’t want to be bothered with you. Prices are on the higher end for both food and drink. Back to Iron Grill till we can find something else local.

This place has been closed for years. I don’t know what type of weirdo keeps reopening the page, but this place IS CLOSED.
They closed, Rm. 727 moved in – That’s the bar in the photo. They have been closed for over 2 years.
Chip and Dale say – LET IT GO.

Duffy’s is an AWESOME place to go to enjoy food, coffee, and good company! The staff, and owners are so hospitable, and friendly! I feel like I’m at home! If I want something special made, in the morning for instance, I ask for Grilled broccoli, red peppers, onions, with Bay seasoning with my Eggs, and topped with cheddar, … or anything special order, They don’t say, “no, we don’t have that”, they say, “OH, THAT SOUNDS GOOD! SURE, WE CAN THROW THAT TOGETHER FOR YOU!”
I’VE NEVER HAD A BAD MEAL. And, any restaurant you go to, … as I read a lady’s review that there was -a hair- in the food, HELL! I’VE NEVER HAD THAT THERE. BUT, we all know, that can, and has happened in the finest of restaurants!
I love to go out on their quaint patio in the morning, enjoy their fantastic coffee, and feel the warmth of the sunshine! Staff is always happy, and they are like family. They know you by name, they ask how you are.
I would definitely recommend Duffy’s, for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner!

The hamburgers here are pretty good. I really enjoyed The Duffy Burger with a slice of sweet ham and Swiss cheese. The staff is friendly and good at what they do. The prices are a good value. You can get out under $10 for lunch without much effort.

I love this place. Sundays for the breakfast bowl is a fav. I take myself to dinner on Saturday nights and love it every time. I never feel awkward at dining alone. I feel welcome. I feel safe. Great staff. The food is amazing. I love trying the chef specials. I have never been disappointed at anything. I must plug the white French salad dressing = the best ever!!

This place should get NO STARS! I found hair in my spaghetti, poor service and incompetent waiting staff… orders were wrong… absolutely ridiculous! Refunded my meal, offered something else but too disgusted to eat anything else, or even drink the water!!!! After seeing several other bad reviews, I will be calling the Health Department soon, even worse is that they deleted comments from Facebook.. trying to hide something Duffy’s? Don’t worry, not only are we not coming back, but I am telling my friends and family not to as well. Good luck with your waning business!

Used to be good prior to their fire. New owners really cheap out on food. Generic sodas, side salad with just lettuce and dressing, and subpar food in general.
Edit; appreciate the owners response. Yes it was same owner prior to fire but not for long. Bottom line is new owners really took the wind out of the sails by serving low grade food. I stand by my original review as apparently do others as they have closed their doors recently. It’s a shame to see an old staple go…

On June 27th, I went into Duffys with my mom, four year old and six month old. We have been customers for a long time, and it was even one of our entire extended families favorite places to go. We have never had any issues with them, yet is has probably been about a year since we did go in there. So, as any other time, we were seated. We ordered a child’s cheeseburger for my son. When his food came, we let him put his ketchup and mustard on it, and he started to eat it. To our surprise, he didn’t like it, and when we looked, the entire middle of this child’s cheeseburger was red and raw. I have heard of grown men eating medium or medium rare burgers, but with a four year old who has never had raw meat in his life, we saw this as a threat to his health. We politely asked for a replacement burger, as his already had condiments on it, and they brought back the same burger, same bun, with hardened cheese and condiments on it from being cooked again. The worst of it was the fact that the burger was still not done and still had spots of red in it. I have worked in food, and one way to get bacteria to flood food is to bring it up to temp and repeatedly cool and cook it again. Needless to say, I was not about to have my son eat that. We then politely said that we did not want it, to take it off the bill or replace it with something else.
This is when the day turned sour. The waitress, who I do not have the name of (as she did not introduce herself, nor was it on the receipt) told us that she simply was not in charge of taking an order off of the receipt and that she would talk with her manager. She then comes back to the table, shrugs and says “boss lady refused to take it off the bill, sorry”. I asked who the manager was, and she scoffs that the manager is behind the bar. I get up to go and speak with the manager, and upon me approaching the bar, she runs outside to the patio area. I sit and wait for a second, then decide to follow her to discuss the matter.
I was not rude. I was not running around the restaurant like a crazy person. I did not raise my voice. I wanted to simply speak to management, show her the unacceptable food so that she could take proper steps to talk with her staff and possibly retrain someone in the kitchen. The burger being on the bill, was a concern, but was not my biggest issue.
When I got up to go outside to talk to the manager (mind you, it was not an “employee only” door, it goes outside to outdoor seating for customers), another waitress, who I found out was Penny, came up to me and yelled at, not asked, me to go back to my booth, and that I was not allowed to wait for a manager, and that she would send someone else to come “deal with me”. Then, another waitress, who has no authority in the establishment either, came over, heard my story, and says “sorry” and hands us a bill. I asked what the name of the manager that refused to speak to me was, and her name is Laura.
This is unacceptable customer service. Not only were they serving raw meat to a child, but they had a “manager” that refused to talk to an unhappy customer. Had an incident like this happened at any well maintained business, taking something off the bill or replacing it would have been a common courtesy, and that would have ended the whole incident. I then went on to review them on their Facebook page, and come to find out that they are deleting the negative posts made on their page. I told my story on there, and re posted it three times. They then blocked me from posting to their page when I am just trying to get an honest review on there. Not only were my posts deleted, but there was not even a reply to it. No apology for the horrible service given by someone in management. No acknowledgment to their mistake. I will not return to this establishment. I am not asking for a refund. I am not asking for anything free. But people should know that the staff is nice and hospitable until there is any form of complaint.

Between Oringe Jesus and Bidenomics, this place doesn’t stand a chance. But the stawk market is at all time highs. Empire Collapse is here. Maybe we and build back better in North Mexico a.k.a Texas.
