It’s a great excuse to spend some time at our criminally underrated art museum. Seriously, if you haven’t been in a while, go. And while you’re there, support Panorama because an on-site restaurant this good deserves some love.
Today, I gave this place a second chance because the food was good and did not want to eat at the cafe. The server was nice but was severely lacking in attentiveness. The food is good however I would not consider this a fine dining restaurant as they advertise due to the lack of good service. I don’t mean to sound like a Karen however I think if you’re advertising and pricing some items at the fine dining level the expectation of good service is a fair expectation to have.
Brandy was an ok server; nothing to complain about nor write home. It was pretty straight to the point (order, deliver, check).
We all drink lol…so Chardonnay & Rosé domed the table. I opted for the Grilled Eggplant entree. A lovely tower of perfectly grilled thick sliced eggplant, forest mushrooms, quinoa, sweet red peppers, goat cheese & basil mint oil. It was delicious. My dining companions ordered the Quiche of the day & Ceasar salad. Both were pleased with presentation & taste.
The dining room is spacious, open & offers a wonderful view overlooking Forest Park’s Art Hill. Fresh roses, heavy silverware & linen napkins were the place setting. Coat check, hostess stand, covered parking are available for those wondering.
