This was such a great experience! It was fun to do omakase that hinged on cooked dishes. The half set was plenty filling, and the tea pairing was an excellent addition. It’s unique bottled teas that rival a wine service in excitement and flavor.
If you’re new to omakase or starting to venture out into Japanese food, this menu is an exciting way to explore the nuance of this cuisine. For me, the food was familiar but elegant and expertly crafted. Service was phenomenal.
As others have said, this is a pricy spot. But once you step inside, you honestly forget you’re in Epcot. It’s such a tranquil restaurant with intentional food.
Really enjoyed my visit! The origami memento from our server was such a sweet touch.

As someone who has dined in Michelin Star restaurants around the country, Takumi- Tei was absolutely incredible and the best meal I’ve ever been served. The atmosphere especially within the water room was so immersive that the focus became the food. Each dish was excellent prepared and absolutlet scrumptious, the fish and A5 melted in my mouth like butter while the miso soup absolutely stunned the palate. The service was equally as exquisite with Riko and Kyoko attentively serving our needs while explaining the history and preparation of each dish. The full course was absolutely perfect in terms of portions and variability and we walked away completely satisfied and awe-struck. Such an incredible experience and I don’t think words can recommend how strongly I recommend this restaraunt

We dined at Takumi-Tei and the service deserves genuine praise. The cast members were fantastic, welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the entire experience.
Unfortunately, the value does not align with the cost. We spent roughly $450 for two semi course meals. While the quality of the food and the variety were genuinely good, the portion sizes and total amount of food do not justify a price anywhere near this level. Even by Disney standards, the semi course option should not exceed $200 under any circumstance.
The reservation and cancellation policy played a major role in our decision to keep the reservation. With a $100 per person cancellation fee, we assumed that canceling would cost $200 total, and that it made more sense to spend an additional $100 to actually eat the meal. In reality, once everything was complete, keeping the reservation resulted in spending roughly $250 more than if we had canceled and accepted the fee. That difference was not clear upfront and significantly impacts how this experience feels in hindsight.
The number of upcharges offered throughout the meal further reinforces the sense that the base experience is intentionally limited. While the food quality itself was good, the quantity and structure of the meal do not support the final bill.
This is not about being unwilling to spend money. It is purely about value. For the amount of food provided, even at high quality, this experience is not worth the price. I truly wish this review could be more positive because the service was excellent, but I cannot recommend this restaurant unless prices are dramatically reduced.

Dining at Takumi-Tei in Walt Disney World was absolutely mind-blowing.We’ve never experienced anything like it, every dish was unique, beautifully crafted, and beyond delicious. Truly one of the best meals I’ve ever had and 100% worth it.

My husband are big sushi eaters and were willing to spend $250 each for the 7 course meal they offered. They tried selling us an additional wagu couse for an additional $100 but we said we were only interested in what came with the $250 meal. The atmosphere was lovely and our young male waiter seemed lovely until the end. He asked if we wanted water and we said yes. My husband ordered a $60 bottle of sake and I ordered a $17 cocktail. We were asked at the beginning to pick a choice of beef listed on the $250 /person menu which was part of the 7 courses which my husband told the waiter we were surprised as we thought it would be all sushi/sashimi. We asked the waiter what he recommended and he said choice #3 so we said okay. As they brought things out presentation was nice, but nothing tasted that great and it was very little sushi. In fact one of the items was Tofu. I did not pay for Tofu. There were 3 soups which is also too much. We wanted sushi. Finally came the dessert and the waiter showed us the menu which showed four desserts and said “choose one”. I asked what he recommended and he said “don’t worry, I’m bringing all of them for each of you.” I said “but it says choose one” and he again said “don’t worry”. He brought the desserts and like the food, they were nothing great. Nice looking but not great tasting. Then came the bill which was over $800 BEFORE THE TIP. They charged as $12 for the water which they NEVER told us there was a charge. They also charged us $70 extra ($35 EACH) for the beef choice which the waiter recommended but NEVER told us was extra. They also charged us $70 extra ($35 EACH) for four small pieces of dessert which the waiter said not to worry about picking as he would bring all four to us. We were FURIOUS and told the waiter he was totally deceitful and we were NOT paying the extra $140 for the beef and dessert. He didn’t argue with us whatsoever as he knew he was deceitful as that’s what they probably do to everyone and very few people will do what we did by refusing to pay for the “extras”. He removed the $140 from the bill but the tip was automatically added. I read one of the reviews from the man who eats in Michelin restaurants and said the food here was the best he tasted. That reviewer had to be paid to say that as it’s the farthest from the truth. This restaurant should be closed down for false advertisement and deceitfulness. My husband and I ate in a small sushi restaurant in New York City, where we come from, where the chef kept sending us beautiful and delicious creations one after the other. This is what we expected but what we got was so far from that. DO NOT GO THERE!!!

Amazing experience. I went solo, but felt very comfortable and the entire staff was very attentive. My server was Ayaka and she was knowledgeable on all the ingredients and their pairings. She made sure I was enjoying my experience throughout the meal. The hostess was absolutely lovely and checked up on me during and after my meal as well. She was great to chat to as well and remembered small details that I had mentioned prior to being seated. 12/10 couldn’t recommend more and will make sure I make a reservation again the next time I’m visiting

Had a delicious dinner here with excellent above and beyond service. Food was fresh, intricately prepared, definitely showing time, finesses, care and skill. Would highly recommend it as a special occasion dinner. We have been to several high end Japanese restaurants and the fare here is absolutely top notch.

Do not eat here unless you are prepared for a michelin level dining experience and the cost that comes with that. Hina was our server and she was absolutely fantastic. We truly tired the entire menu as I did the full course omakase with the wine pairing and my wife did the vegetarian coursing with the tea pairing. The restaurant does allow for customization as my wife was able to get the wagyu as her main dish with the vegetarian coursing. Could not recommend Takimi-Tei evough for a michelin level meal hidden within the craziness of Epcot. 12/10

A first time Omakase experience for me. The restaurant was incredibly cozy and quiet. Beautiful interior and incredible service. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable with the food being served. It’s a multicourse course dining experience and by the end spent roughly 2 hours dining. Some items might have been a little too experimental for us, but otherwise we were very impressed by the food. The A5 Wagyu is simply out of this world. A little on the pricey side to note (we spent $250/person not including cocktails and tip), but definitely worth the experience. You will not be disappointed.

A truly amazing dining experience. This is fixed price only and you can choose from either a vegetarian menu or one with meat courses. We had the Kiku which is the meat course menu and every single dish was fantastic. Our personal favorites were the lobster tempura and the A5 wagyu beef courses. They also have a great selection of sake and cocktails – our server recommended one of the sake flights and it did not disappoint. The service is top notch and each course is explained to you in detail.
