I haven’t eaten the whole day which makes me a bit cranky but that’s okay, I decide to pull up to them and try something from them. It’s not everyday that we come across a zabiha halal bbq spot⁉️ So I decide to order and ask for something that sounds as if it could satisfy my hangry. I get the loaded Mac and cheese with brisket. The guy has me waiting for like 2-3 minutes and then says they are out and that he likes it more with the ribs and I was like sure! Let’s do that. Honestly at this point the ribs DID sound better so now I was looking forward to that.
None the less, I wait the estimated time for my food and then get it. Then he tells me “Great news habibi, we did find enough brisket for you!” I’m sad but alas it’s okay, they did it out of the kindness of their heart and that’s okay. Even if I wanted the rib. I’ll live i guess .
The issue.
Now the issue that I have is the fact that I ordered Mac and Cheese… I only got Mac. Literally not a single bite had cheese in it. I was just eating Mac. Where was the cheese??? This honestly frustrated me a bit because I was looking forward to a genuinely good Mac and cheese. But I was eating dry macaroni. Genuinely a disappointment. The brisket was not bad, a bit dry if I’m being super harsh on them, but it was still pretty good. 7.5/10.
The bbq sauce was good and so was the white sauce even though there wasn’t much.
Also why was the macaroni that I received so long, I’ve genuinely never seen that being served for Mac and cheese before. Imagine a normal macroni but swirling down, each piece was about an inch long??
All in all, If I knew I was only getting Mac with brisket and bbq sauce, I wouldn’t spend the 18 dollars.
Keep in mind this review is written in a hangry situation so I may be biased or overly harsh.
Only fries were loaded… Less Brisket.
