The food quality and portions were excellent. It was a good value- better than I expected. It seemed like quite a few employees were behind the counter, but only one guy was doing all of the work. There was no one in line ahead of me to order and I was the only one at the counter, but it took several minutes before anyone acknowledged me standing there. I dined in, interior of the restaurant was very clean. I’ll be back.

I stopped by Sam’s Gyro in Dade City on Sunday since I was already in the area and my usual spot, Chick-fil-A, was closed. I figured I’d give it a shot, and honestly, I ended up being really surprised by how good everything was. I ordered the grilled Basa fillet with fries, and the food tasted fresh like it was made right then and there. The fish had a clean, solid flavor, and the fries were perfect. They came out hot, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside, the way fries should be.
The restaurant itself was clean and comfortable, and the service stood out to me. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and made the whole visit smooth. I wish I had gotten the names of the people who helped me, because they really did a great job.
This place is definitely going to be my new go-to spot whenever I’m in Dade City. I’m already planning to come back and try their crab next time. Appreciate the great food and service. Five stars from me.

Tried Sam’s Gyros and Seafood for the first time and WOW — I was thoroughly pleased and completely satisfied!
I ordered the chicken rice bowl (yellow rice, black beans, veggies, and chicken) and a chicken gyro combo with fries and a drink. Let me just say… I started with the gyro and it was hands down the BEST gyro I have ever tasted. Ever. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the sauce tied everything together just right. Every bite was chef’s kiss!
The fries? Perfect. Not undercooked. Not overly fried. Crispy, hot, and exactly how fries should be.
Then I moved on to the rice bowl. I’m big on my veggies being sautéed and cooked thoroughly — and they absolutely nailed it. Everything was perfectly blended with the rice, beans, and chicken. The flavors worked so well together.
I don’t know if it’s meant to be a version of Salem’s, but I’ll just say this… it gives them a run for their money — and I might even go out on a limb and say it’s better!
I’ll definitely be back to try more (as much as I can with my shellfish allergy ). I’ll let the kiddos handle the seafood options, but trust me — more reviews coming soon.

I’d like to take time out of my day to show appreciation of a business in dade city. We’d never been to so I thought we’d try it. When placing our order we did not receive all of our order. We did wait awhile in line. Many parents can relate to a screaming kid while in line to pick up dinner. Isn’t something you’d like to deal with. After placing our order we did only receive 2 of the 5 meals that we placed. After being frustrated/overwhelmed the owner himself came to me and fixed what was missing. The only probably we had was that we didnt receive all of our food id just say the food is absolutely outstanding and not only that he gave us some delicious dessert. He even said to come back and me and my family could all get a free meal on the house. I had told him I don’t come to dade city very often he offered to personally deliver our food to us gave me his card and said when you would like to get your free meals give me a call. This happened to be a month or so ago. I sent him a message and said if the offer still stands I’d like to take you up on it. I thought he wouldn’t remember who I was or that I had kids with me. But he most definitely remember just who I was and was more than happy to make sure me and my family got our meals on the house tonight. There’s not many restaurants that go above and beyond for their customers but I’ll just say Yusuf at sams gyros & seafood in dade city. Really cares about his customers and the food that they serve there if you haven’t yet went to this restaurant let me just say RUN I MEAN RUNNN and get the delicious food that is there! You’ll thank me later
