You know you’ve made a good choice when both your husband and 9 yr old say you did a good job picking a late lunch spot on the way back to KC. We got the seasonal burger- Mardi gras burger. Husband said it was pretty good. I got the spinach apple salad with grilled chicken and honey mustard dressing. So good! Wasn’t expecting the apples to be like that (usually they’re fresh sliced in salads,) but it all tasted great! Kiddo got the 2 sliders and fries. She ate more than half, so I’ll count that as a win. And she’s now wanting to go golfing/driving range/puttputt at home.

I have lived within 5 minutes of this place for 8 months and only wish I had come here sooner! The food was great! Only thing I was a little let down on was the portion size of the pretzel bites appetizer. Could’ve done with a couple more bites. Other than that I was knocked out of the park! Tavern burger was cooked perfectly, and fried chicken tender burger was HUGE. Tasty too. Will definitely be coming back!

I dont know how I’ve missed this place so many times, I look forward to trying more as I just stopped in for a small snack, everything was delicious, also has a variety of golf experiences. The only thing I wish is that they had corn tortillas for the tacos

I came back and they earned that 5th star! Original post: I got the steak fries and they came out cold. Server took them back and I think they just put them oven for a bit. They were tasty. My wife got the cod with sweet potato fries. She said the sweet potatoes were on point. Especially with honey mustard. The cod. Average. The service was fine. The restaurant is shape really long with the door for the kitchen in another room. Weird layout. I am sure the servers get their steps in. Would I go again? With the boys to play around and drink beer. Probably won’t bring my wife out here again. 9-8-10 turns out they have upped their game!!! Steak Frites Nachos are amazing. Hayley was our Server and crushed it!!! Will bring my wife out here!!!

Was asked to leave by staff while a person at the table was still finishing the drink just served. Was told by staff the table “was needed by another party “. This would have not been an issue if there had not been tables around us that were empty that could easily have accommodated 5 people.

Rating a 4 star for a few reasons. It took forever to get someone to help me (I sat at the bar alone, so. Okay. Little bit of a pass.) Once I did they were not super helpful on recommendations or knowledgeable about what was on tap. (Probably a new hire. Again, give it a pass.)
I’ve frequented the other 44 establishments and expected 44 Tavern to be similar to 44 Stone. I was incorrect. Do not make this mistake.
The food is good, but it’s not the same quality. The steak disco fries are amazing (or were at Stone) but the ones I got at Tavern had huge chunks of steak that no one can one-bite. So I had to use a knife to cut it. Plus the fries were bagged frozen grossness that just scream low-quality. Definitely a disappointing dish.
The deviled eggs were delicious. 12/10 recommend. The beer choices were great.
Honestly. I was sorely disappointed in my experience. Perhaps if I hadn’t been to 44 Stone I wouldn’t feel this way, but it’s sub-par for my expectations of the 44 team. I’ll be back again as this was only my first time there, and one experience shouldn’t make or break a restaurant.

Attended a Christmas Party. We played golf under the heated patio outside. Enjoyed a couple cocktails and ate delicious appetizers.
