We’ve been going to central sweets for years and have seen different management/ownership. We’ve always enjoyed it but in the past year or so we LOVE it! Savory New Zealand Pies at an ice cream shop sounds odd, but let me tell you… THEY ARE SO FREAKING GOOD! We have had them day of reheated and have had them after they sat in the fridge a day or two and they are delicious either way. Think Chicken Pot Pie but better than any you’ve had before and at a fair price! The pies and the customer service truly set them a part. They are a small town shop and you feel that when you’re there, such a personal experience every time.

This spot is primarily known for ice cream and chocolates, however they have a fantastic hand pie menu. I got the mince & cheese and it was so delicious! Very flaky crust and a satisfying savory filling. I also tried their Raspberry Lamington, which is a sponge cake dipped in a raspberry puree and covered in coconut. So good!! I’m happy that there is a nearby spot that offers some Aussie goodies. Here’s wishing that they do a pavlova one day. Absolutely fantastic place!

We love Central Sweets and Savory! The ice cream is great, the candy iss amazing and the baked goods are very tasty! The hand pies are such a unique food and the are delicious. My favorite is the spinach but I have not had any that I did not like. The owners are very nice people and the staff is very friendly. The hot chocolate is great, too

The owners are fabulous. They were very helpful in us deciding what we really wanted to eat. They assured us our first choice, the chicken pot pie, was excellent. They weren’t wrong. It was absolutely delicious. Will go back for it again. Will also try the others.

I brought my family here for dinner and ice cream. First of all the pastries are excellent, flakey and crunchy, the chicken one was a favorite. After dinner all my kids had a fun time selecting from the large number of options for ice cream! highly recommended!

The cutest little gem ever!!!! This ice cream shop has everything!!!!! There is something for the kids and the adults that are kids at heart!!! There was a gentleman telling funny jokes while we were eating our ice cream. He was also a customer, but it was a delight to spend time with him. We tried this spot for the first time today, since we’re new to the area. My son is allergic to food coloring, and the owner was super nice and helpful and willing to show me ingredients w no issue. Great customer service, and the place was really nice inside. My son loved the cookie dough, and i loved the Cookie Two Step— which is cookies and cream mixed w cookie dough. Never heard of it- so good! Great prices! $2.99 for a small scoop— that was a decent size! Many places charge way more. Bathroom was clean. Street parking in front for a Saturday afternoon. We’ll be back!

Absolutely wonderful experience and ice cream!! Me and my son Max go in often and they always ask how we are and have become our friends as well as a staple in our town!!! 5 star all day! Also, their spinach pies are crazy good
