Recently, I also ordered catering for my son’s birthday, and it was fantastic. We had mini chicken kebobs, mini pork kebobs, gyros, tirokafteri, and melitzanosalata. Everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and a huge hit with our guests. The meats were tender and juicy, and the dips were authentic and delicious.
Beyond the food, the hospitality from the owners is exceptional. They are always warm, welcoming, and genuinely appreciative of their customers, which makes the experience even better. The location is also very convenient, with plenty of free parking.
Whether dining in, ordering takeout, or catering an event, I highly recommend Thassos Greek Restaurant. Consistent quality, amazing hospitality, and great convenience every time!
Definitely not worth the M.P. $60.
Kudos to our server though, he filet it well! But he shouldn’t have bathed it in butter. It ruined the fish for me. Sadly it was on my birthday
I made a reservation in line for a party at two For a Thursday night. Arrived at 6:45 to pretty much an empty restaurant.
Upon walking in and giving him my name, I asked my girlfriend if she wanted a high table or a booth cause both were open. She stated booth, in which I asked the receptionist who was the owner for a booth. Where I pointed to two empty booze. In that room that customer is already in it. He said yes to a booth, but that room is closed and he brought us to a back room where we were literally the only people back there all night long. I noticed that he seated other Couples after us in the main dining room , which was allegedly closed.
We sat in the desk, seating area, all alone, which was odd and not very warming. I usually don’t think this way, but on this instance, I had no other reason, but to think this way; I am a white male, and my female is Cuban with very dark skin. I only say that due to he said other people in the main dining room after we arrived. Very odd.
The service was all right nothing exceptional
The kebabs that my girlfriend ordered, she absolutely loved. I ordered. Spanakopita And it was actually nothing special. I’ve had it before in Greektown in Chicago and it was one of my favorite meals..
I think if I want Greek food again, I’ll go downtown Chicago on Halstead
He advised us great dishes and always checked in with us.
THE DOORMAN gave me a terrible experience, started teaching me and my children how to open the door( he said he was a professional about opening doors, and I need to listen to him)
Terrible way of treating people.
Other than that, food was okay. Nothing special..and way too salty.
Moussaka tasted like apple pie or something. Very weird sweet and sour taste …
Smelts were pretty good, if you add lots of lemon juice.
Chickpea soup was pretty tasty, we even ordered two cups.
P.S
Thank you for the experience!
On the plus side, dolmades and rice pudding were delicious.
I was unimpressed.
