TLDR: OMG what an incredible dining experience! Make sure you get a reservation, the food and drinks are incredible!

So a few months ago we tried to walk in to Lucia and unfortunately didn’t have a reservation and didn’t want to wait for a spot. So this week I made a reservation and was so glad I did! When we got there everyone was friendly and seated us right away. The dining space is cozy and a little loud due to it being an all concrete room (could benefit from some sound panels on the ceiling). Shay our server was absolutely amazing! We started off with Wine and the Vesuvio (I love unique cocktails) it was amazing with just a hint of spice on your palette. As we do with most new resturants we go to we ordered an offensive amount of food for 2 people.

Drinks-
Vesuvio was like a slightly spicy margarita it was so good!
Brooklyn almost manhattan style spirit forward excellently crafted.
Capri was so refreshing and balanced. A great drink to sit on the porch and enjoy.

Starters-
Romaine Lettuce was so simple and delicious! A great shareable portion for 4.
Potato Foccacia when I say everyone’s eyes widened when this massive loaf made it to the table we aren’t kidding! It’s enough for 8 by itself! We took 3/4 of it home. (Offering a half order would be great.)
Octopus & Potato was a standout for me! I hate seafood (I try it all the time to see if my palette has grown up yet at the ripe age of 38, it hasn’t) and this was wonderful. The tentacles were charred with a sauce that I wanted to drink from the bowl it was so good.
Arancino was awesome! A classic simple dish that was knocked out of the park!

Mains
Tortelloni was delicious! A flavorful dish with beautifully made pasta cooked perfect with a killer sauce.
Diavola Pizza so good! It had a nice spice but not overwhelming.
Grandma Jacovino “Steak Pizzaiolo” this was an unexpected highlight. I’m a rare steak person and while this was on the medium well/well side it was so flavorful and so delicious. I would get a pasta with it and share the dishes, the steak is huge!

Dessert
Affogato the gelato this time was butter pecan (normally my least favorite flavor) was absolutely amazing! I loved everything about it!

Lucia Pasta Bar is an absolute gem in Savannah. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful and truly phenomenal from start to finish. The cocktails were expertly crafted and perfectly balanced, setting the tone for an unforgettable meal.
We started with the romaine lettuce salad, arancino, and the octopus with potato, and every bite was flawless. The octopus was especially memorable—tender, beautifully cooked, and packed with flavor. For mains, the Diavolo pizza brought just the right amount of heat, the tortelloni was rich and comforting with incredible depth, and the alla plancha steak was cooked to perfection; it was bold, savory, and indulgent without being heavy.
Dessert sealed the deal with an affogato that was simple, elegant, and executed perfectly, the ideal ending to an outstanding meal.
Lucia Pasta Bar delivers on every level: food, cocktails, and service. A must-visit for anyone in Savannah looking for elevated Italian done right.

This probably the best new restaurant added to this city in a very very long time. Every bite makes you take a break to take it all in. I’ve been twice in the last 10 days. I’ve had Nikki both times and she’s always so sweet & gives great recommendations. I’ll be bringing more friends & family to also enjoy Lucia ☺️

We had a pretty okay experience here. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t really anything special either. The restaurant itself is very pretty and we sat at the pasta bar, but didn’t get a very friendly kitchen staff experience. The chef closest to us said only one thing the entire time we were there and only after we asked a question – we should have sat in the dining room so that our chairs were at least comfortable because the ones at the pasta bar were hard and uncomfortable. On top of that we felt a bit rushed. We were in and out in 40 minutes despite ordering a bottle of wine, two appetizers, and two pastas.

We started with the focaccia and the persimmon bruschetta. The persimmons were not ripe yet so they were slightly astringent and not really sweet which is a shame because it would have been an amazing dish with ripe fruit. The focaccia was a really tasty piece of bread but I wouldn’t describe it as focaccia. It was dense, with a very tight crumb, and seemed very lean for what is supposed to be an olive oil enriched dough.

For the mains we had the sweet potato agnolotti and the campanelle alla vodka. The campanelle was supposed to have nduja and shallots but it tasted more like passatta that was cooked close to those ingredients instead of with them. Overall it was just an okay tomato sauce with bland egg pasta that was slightly overcooked. However the agnolotti was amazing. They were tasty, light, perfectly cooked in a really flavorful sauce with crispy kale that accented it perfectly. Hands down this was the star of the night and a dish I would order again

If you’re craving authentic Italian cuisine, this spot is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly baked bread, garlic, and olive oil transports you straight to Italy. The ambiance is warm and rustic — perfect for a cozy dinner or a special night out.
Every dish feels like it’s made with love and tradition. The sauces are rich and flavorful, and the ingredients taste incredibly fresh. The wood-fired bread was a standout — just the right amount of char.

The staff are friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about the food they serve. Shoutout to our server Shaye who helped us with all the veggie options on the menu and the best recommendations! My favorite part was the use of metal straws in my cocktail!

PS: Don’t skip dessert — the Panna cotta was light, creamy, and the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable meal.

Highly recommend! And can’t wait to go back for more! Pictured: CHERRY TOMATO FOCCACIA, TORTELLONI, BOCCE BALL, MOSCOW MULE & PANNA COTTA

First time here at it was amazing. We didn’t have a reservation and were able to snag two seats at the bar. The focaccia was huge, salad tasty, the steak to die for. Ashley the bartender was amazing and whipped up fantastic concoctions. The cannoli dessert worth it! Everything is homemade.

My daughter and I had a HUGE surprise, the couple sitting next to us bought our entire meal. Have no idea why they did that but it of course added to the enjoyment of our night!

If you love Italian food, this is a must try in Savannah. We’re locals and didn’t know it had already opened! Homemade pasta, brick oven pizzas, and a beautiful outside court yard for enjoying this amazing fall weather or indoor seating at the pasta bar! We tried the homemade foccacia bread, seafood pasta and tagliatelli bolognese! The sauces were light and delicious, filled with flavor! This historic site has now been transformed to such a beautiful restaurant. We heard there will be more surprises coming soon with the restoration and the staff was so complimentary of their owner. They were pleasant, very knowledgeable and kind. Thank you for making our date Night so special, Emma ! I think that was our server’s name last night. We highly recommend the homemade Canolis, too!

Absolutely incredible experience!

I visited this new Italian restaurant last night, and from start to finish it was perfection. The atmosphere is cozy yet upscale — you can tell they put so much thought into every detail. The staff was warm, attentive, and made me feel right at home.

The food was phenomenal. The pasta was clearly homemade — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. You can truly taste the quality in every bite. I sat at the pasta bar, which I highly recommend — watching the chefs in action made the whole experience even more special.

The cocktails were creative and balanced. Everything from the service to the presentation was top-tier.

So it’s a bummer that I have to give this place a one star as I was super excited to try the food here and waited for a while with limited reservations.I would describe the chefs non interactive which is fine but i was surprised to see them not wear gloves and use bare hands to cook.

Let’s talk about food, to say it disappointing is understatement . We ordered arachino, two pastas and one pizza only to be disappointed by it all. Arachino was cold from the inside, with cheese not melted at all. The pizza was cold and by the time we got it and flavorless. The pasta was okay but overcooked. We ordered tortellini and Campanelle. And three drinks (which were probably the best thing about our dinner). And the portion sizes are smaller than usual.

The service was below average. We were forced to place order for appetizers and main course together. And the main course of pizza came way before our appetizer of arachino which definitely not cooked enough.

For average of 50 dollars per person, to be served cold and uncooked food was a huge disappointment.

Pretty dope Italian spot in Savannah, it definitely leans more on the American Italian side more so than proper Italian. Think trendy Brooklyn Italian but done well. Great space design wise, love the bar area open kitchen, we had drinks to start out back but I hope they make that proper seating! Will return,
