This restaurant is located inside the shopping plaza but which an outside entrance.

We were greeted and seated immediately and the server was prompt to come over and take our drinks order. My friend ordered a Mimosa and corned beef hash and I ordered a reuben with a fountain drink. My friend got her drink and then the food came out. The server asked if we needed anything else. I asked for the fountain drink again. The food was yummy and came out quickly. The server checked on us once during our meal, and it was mostly towards the end. When it was time to pay, we werent permitted to see our checks. We were just presented with a number and a digital machine to pay with.

The check process was cut so short, my friend and I ended up staying a bit after the check (maybe 10 minutes) to finish our conversation. The server walked pass multiple times but never even offered to get us more water or even acknowledge we were still there. It was after the lunch rush so it was pretty empty.

Truly a lovely addition to the Urbana community! The food was excellent and the staff were so nice and friendly! Even if there is a wait (as they can be busy, since it’s so good!), it’s so nice to be able to walk around the mall or get coffee in their cafe and chill there. Their Valentine’s Day latte (something similar to a vanilla latte with strawberry cold foam) was actually one of the best lattes I’ve ever had – good black coffee as well!

Big disappointment. We chose this place based on its high Google rating (4.6 stars) and ‘affordable’ label, but our experience on 1/17/2026 was the opposite.

First, we waited 20 minutes for a table despite the restaurant being half-empty. While the service was friendly and the coffee was decent, the food (and coffee) was overpriced and flavorless.

$17 Patty Melt: Served on barely toasted bread with generic frozen waffle fries.
$14 Egg Dish: Small portion, dry toast, and flavorless gravy.
$8 for Coffee: Two black coffees cost $8 alone.
To top it off, they didn’t even have pancakes, despite having them advertised on their windows. We walked out paying over $50 for a below-average meal. I definitely would not recommend this spot based on the value for money and would say 3.2 might be a better star rating value (defiantly not a 4.6).

This place is great! They have a very veggie friendly menu with options for substituting vegetarian patties, etc. for no extra cost. They have an array of various cafe drinks and a menu with really delicious options. The strawberry matcha drink was perfect and not too sweet. The vegetarian version of the patty melt was amazing, and the fries were seasoned so well! We definitely need more breakfast places in the CU area, so I really hope this one survives!

Went to the Lazy Daisy on Saturday. Food was great, especially the fluffy egg sandwich and the vanilla latte I got!

Service was incredible I loved the host Cal and my server Lily. They were attentive, helpful and leveled up my experience.

I recommend to anyone in the CU area! Great place to get breakfast with friends or study for a bit!

Love the atmosphere amd little unique touches, like the faucets in the women’s bathroom and men’s bathroom!

Our food was delicious! We had the biscuits and gravy, giant pancake, hash brown, bacon, eggs, and mimosa. Highly recommend.
It was pretty busy for a weekday at lunch. Can’t wait to return. My only request would be to have real maple syrup even if that is an upcharge.

My drink was delicious and beautiful. I also had a lemon poppyseed cake and a blueberry muffin. Everything was great and the customer service was even better. I can’t remember the gentleman’s name but he was very tall and he was great!

Love the atmosphere and the food was even better! We got the Reuben and the waffles and they were both awesome. The cafe was very cute and has a relaxed comfortable feel while still catering to everything you need. Staff was wonderful as well and love the location. Definitely recommend stopping in here!

Overall, the food was very good and the service was really good. I went with the classic eggs over easy, sausage, and hashbrowns. The eggs were perfect and runny. I did wish that the sausage was a little bigger and hashbrowns a bit crispier. What I did like was that the sausage seemed fresh! I do want to go back and try the liege waffle and other items.

Another issue was that some tables were close together so I noticed that some people had trouble having enough room to sit down if someone was behind them. I wasn’t sure if the note on the menu about charging a penny if you didn’t have a cash tip was a cheeky joke or passive aggressive.
