Originally loved going here to play pool and just have a couple drinks with a group of ladies. We always felt safe there as a group.
However, last couple times we went there to shoot pool, there’s been a tense atmosphere and also a couple fights. I noted one patron with a pistol in his jeans trying to hide it with a shirt over it until he bent over and I saw it. I mean I carry too, but I leave it in the car while shooting pool because I never felt it necessary to have it in Rivers. Hesitant to go back now. I don’t want to get caught in cross fire. Just want a place a few females can have some drinks and shoot pool. And feel safe doing it.

My kind of bar! I don’t drink, but I was looking to play some pool. The tables were in excellent condition, plenty of space, and affordable. The crowd was reasonably tame but a good energy nonetheless. Good eclectic music being played and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Great atmosphere love playing pool and listening to Marty’s Music with the cigarette smoke is enough to kill you if you don’t even smoke cigarettes like myself. They really need to put in some ventilation or something you can cut the smog with a knife in there literally. Other than that’s a great place to have a drink meet with your friends and shoot the breeze as you shoot a game of pool.

My husband and I went to Rivers last night and we had a great time. It’s not Rascals in Lake Park or like the bars you’ll find in Valdosta, but for Waycross it was a pretty decent bar. I even got to meet the owner Jack, and I liked him very much. He was very friendly and didnt seem at all like how some of the other reviews described him as being. We will definitely be going back to Rivers soon.
