Really good food from Shalimar Takeaway. Everything arrives hot and fresh, portions are generous, and the flavours are spot on. Curries are well-spiced without being greasy and the naan is always soft and fresh. Reliable service and good value for money. Definitely one of the best takeaways in Shrewsbury.

Very rude staff. I called to place a large order, but the person who answered immediately assumed I was calling for sales, wouldn’t let me explain, and hung up. I called again to say I was trying to place an order, and the receptionist hung up on me again.
Completely unacceptable behaviour. Even if someone is calling for sales, there is no excuse to be this rude. I would never recommend this business — basic manners and professionalism are clearly lacking

I ordered the Lamb Tikka Garlic Chilli and unfortunately it wasn’t a great experience. The dish was very oily and lacked flavour, which made it quite unpleasant to eat. I was disappointed as I had higher expectations. Sadly, I wouldn’t order again, but I hope this feedback helps improve the quality in the future.

Ordered a meal for collection whilst staying overnight nearby. Service was pretty quick and ready for collection in 20 mins
My meal came to just over £14, however when I went to pay I was directed to a sign on the wall that said it was a £16 min charge for card payments. I pointed out that you cannot specify a min amount on card as that breaches the MasterCard and Visa scheme rules. They reluctantly then charged the correct amount.
After getting back, I found I had the wrong rice. The food was ok and a decent size portion, however my main dish (a dhansak) was incredibly sweet tasting and not to my taste.
