Liberty has meant pizza for multiple generations of my family. It’s still the mainstay for when I visit Cochituate (the address is officially Wayland, but we all know better) – I don’t think I’ve ever made a visit back home without a visit here.
The pizza at Liberty remains, for the most part, similar to what I’ve had here for over 40 years – heavy on the cheese, light on sauce, and with a medium thickness, crunchy crust. The world of pizza in general has continued to evolve, so expectations may be that Liberty should be changing with it, but on my last visit, I watched them making the small sized pies in the same straight sided pans that I remember from my childhood – causing the crust to be perfectly circular, and to crisp up around the edges.
On my most recent visit, I spotted their house brand root beer and birch beer in a glass front fridge – I’m looking forward to one, the other, or perhaps both. Birch beer, in particular, has become much harder to find these days.

This place is joke I paid almost 11 dollars for this kid size pizza. Mind you at first I was almost charged this for 2 slices if I didn’t ask why I’m being charged so much. I would’ve end up paying 11 dollars for two slices. I have had frozen pizza that taste better than this place. HARD PASS ON THIS PLACE…

Wanted to give them a chance even though they are 3 star rated because it’s closer toy house. Low reviews don’t lie. I ordered seafood salad and it had 80% mayo. Had to toss it out not even good for my dog. Ordered stke salad and the well done requested was completely burned dry as a Frisbee. I took the salad back and threw it on the counter and told them I was not coming back. Pizza was not that good either. Will have to drive a little further to go to another pizza place that so much better.

Here I was, driving on a donut tire back from a legal appointment from Canton to Lowell. It’s already been a long day, 5 o’clock rolls around and i start thinking, “i haven’t had anything since breakfast, i should look for a random pizza place where i can get a steak and cheese sub or something”
See this place on my left, ASSUMING SIGN, but, I saw “pizza” on it.
Almost drove past it, banged a u-ey,
Guy at the counter greeted me kindly, told me to take my time, i noticed it had Syrian items on the menu, and I was like “oh Syrian joint? Gotta get the lamb Gyro if I’ve never been here before”
Great choice.
Meat was seasoned well, sauce was on point. Bread was fresh. Veggies were fresh.
Get it!

The staff is amazing. They remember you and truly care how you are. They are the sweetest people and take pride in the food. Everything I have gotten from there has been so good. They read your special requests about your order if you order online. I
normally call to place my order just to hear that cheery
adorably sweet voice on the other end of the llne. They truly care about there customers and take pride in the food they make you. It’s so worth a call to order or even to just go in and enjoy your meal there. They are just such hard working people. I support there business as much as I can. Thank you libertys in wayland. It’s a pleasure and honor to have you in this area.

Been getting pizza from liberty for years…I now live in Newton and still find it to be one of my favorite places. Pizza is great-crispy edges with lots of cheese. I always find the staff to be polite and friendly. I order online and its always ready when I get there. Thanks so much!

We’ve been going to Liberty Pizza since we moved here 15 years ago. Had a really fresh Greek salad today packed with chicken. We love their pizza too! Our favorite local pizza place. Very friendly and polite staff.

There website is outstanding and made ordering easy, but the order was delivered incorrectly (I didn’t call to fix it… Just ate the mistake). The house pizza (a Supreme) was OK but the bell peppers were still raw, the dough had little flavor, and the tomato sauce lacked depth (loved the crisp texture). The mistake ended up being a margarita pizza and was actually pretty darn good. Delivery was supposed to take 40 minutes and they hit it spot on. I gave 4 stars because 3.5 is not an option.
