They’re not very responsive by Tock or e-mail unfortunately, but it was still a great time! (I tried to reach out about a discount on 13 tickets and never got a reply.)

Parking: Awful, gotta roll the dice on the neighborhoods nearby. Thankfully not too many blocked off streets.

Almost like a hidden secret of South Austin! We went with a group of 13 guys, half in Ren Faire costume, for their monthly night market evening. You’re welcomed at the door by a very enthusiastic orc and should come prepared to show ID. Check-in was seamless with their emailed order. The venue itself is small and could practically be someone’s home. Karaoke was an offshoot room that fit only about 10 people. It’s a lot more spacious in the back than it seems, opening up to plenty of seating where groups were seen chatting or playing tabletop games. There weren’t many vendors but a great wizard was there giving away little fortunes that was very wholesome.

Overall, great spot for a date or for one of their themed nights. I’d definitely come back with a group.

A fantasy filled bar. Everything is themed and super chill. From drinks like elven water to the magical gardens at the back, you can find magic in this place.

If you like Fantasy and RenFaire this is the place for you. It is FANTASMICALLY whimsical. Come in your medieval garb and feel at home along with the rest of us. I can’t wait to go back.

Absolute-best themed bar in Austin. They’re committed to the theme in the entry expressive and the decor, but in a way that’s welcoming and not exclusive or intimidating. Somehow it’s both a great conceptual/playful event venue, and also a great, relaxed neighborhood tavern. Costumes highly encouraged, but both times I’ve been everyone’s just as welcoming to folks in plainclothes.

On top of that, they have the best non-alcoholic cocktail in the city (the Garden Gnome); unlike most zero-proof mixed drinks it doesn’t just taste like sugar water, it’s balanced and refreshing.

I wish the food options were slightly more substantial or on-theme (right now just “glizzies”), but on the whole this place is incredible and a real part of Austin’s spirit.

I wish I could give more stars, this place is absolutely fantastic. I was blown away by the whole place, there are so many little details to admire especially the outdoor space. The staff really transport you with their interactions and intricate costumes, and provide excellent, prompt service; the food aligned with the theme and was also incredible. What made the night for me was a bard playing live music throughout the evening, his performance was so entrancing and really made the night spectacular. Can’t wait to visit again, thank you for an amazing experience!

Came here with friends and the best way to describe it is that it is an experience. The people who work here commit to their roles and provide excellent service. I had a wonderful time while here tonight. It is definitely a welcoming place and feels like a safe space.

I’d like to return again next time I’m in Austin. I recommend it. Great work guys.

Such a fun atmosphere! A fabulous place to leave the stressful world behind, and have some roll playing fun.

My husband and I visited their open house in Jan 2024. We enjoyed it so much, that we are putting together our costumes to return and become members (not necessary, but is a great deal).

Whether you are into DnD, Pirates, Larping, or just having a tasty beverage (highly recommend the Hot Toddy) and chatting with friends, I highly recommend the Tiny Minotaur Tavern. We’ll definitely be back!

This place is amazing! The staff is all in character and are a delight to interact with. I love that they require costumes on Saturdays. If you love renaissance festivals or have ever wanted to go to one, go here! Having to exchange debit or credit for “coin” for drinks and food is a nice touch! I definitely want to check out their live music on Fridays. Great place to play board games or TTRPGs. They also have LARPs. Please note at the time of the review it is all outside so keep that in mind before coming. Check out this private club, you won’t regret it!
