This was our first time here. We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door. The food was amazing. We had the fried chicken dinner and the pork chops. The portions were plentiful. The owner, Charlene took our order and brought us our food. She even gave us a sample of fried ribs because we had never tried them before. Everyone was very friendly. We will definitely stop back here if in this area again. If you want true southern food, then stop in and try this place.

Looking for a fun experience, we ventured into a TripAdvisor rated soul food establishment. Charlene waited on u and treated us like family. It was all five-thumbs-up good. The menu changes daily on the white board! The everything is “home made” right there in the kitchen, visible through the serving window. It’s a family affair with several generations working the Saturday lunch shift. The walls are covered with posters of Charlene’s grandkids in their athletic uniforms and some of them are now in the US Military. Congratulations Grandma – you done good and keep it up, we’ll be back 😉

The food was really good and the staff/owners are super nice and friendly. The place is small but full of kindness and laughs from the staff. It was a little pricey but the food is good. The Fried Ribs were off the chain and their Hushpuppies were really good.

Incredible home cooked food. We stopped by on our way to Spartanburg and had some awesome Meat and two plates, they also offer meet and three.
Don’t let the initial outside appearance keep you from going in to some incredible food. Service was also great and they made us feel at home. We will be back if we’re ever in the area to get more of those delicious pork chops, fried chicken & homemade mac and cheese.

First time here. Just left Charlene’s and The food smelled sooo good that we had to pull over in a QT parking lot and try it. The food was absolutely wonderful. Each item was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We will definitely make the drive from Anderson to eat here again!

Last week, I visited your establishment and, unfortunately, was not entirely satisfied with the meal. I spent $125.00 on food that I felt was overpriced and lacked flavor, leaving me disappointed. I would like to suggest that you consider reducing your prices. I ordered the chitterlings plate, which is the most expensive item on the menu, but it lacked flavor and the potato salad was bland. While I regret my choice, I do not believe I will be returning. Although I typically support Black-owned businesses, I am unable to continue supporting this one.

This complaint is regarding the unjustified treatment received on 12/14 just prior to me entering the restaurant as I normally do every Sunday to pick up a slice of cake. After parking my vehicle and before completing exiting it a young lady rudely approached me to let me know that I could NOT park in the space to the left of the two handicapped spaces and that i needed to move my truck somewhere else. I wasn’t illegally parked and when I questioned why she told me it was her “grandparents parking space and I needed to move now!”
1. Ms charlene i respect you and ur place of business but 2. Her tone was unnecessary 3. The many visits I’ve made before I had no clue that parking space was reserved especially if there wasn’t any signage to indicate that and 3. Nothing was said to the person who immediately parked in the same parking space.
I refrained from getting salty with her out of respect for you but if that space is reserved a sign might be helpful. Thanks

Small town home cooked, soul food. Best way to describe it. I had the pork chops with collard greens and Mac and cheese. It was so good that I will be back to try the rest of the menu.
