Today the youngest and I took a trip to @rolandjamaicanchicken in Lewisville. We got a quick plate to go and gosh… were we glad to have done so.

..Have you ever closed your eyes while eating a meal? I lived that experience with their Jamaican Oxtails, rice and peas, and cabbage were absolutely delicious! The flavors were rich, mesmerizing, and perfectly seasoned—I found myself savoring every bite. The rice and peas were spot on, and the cabbage added the perfect balance.
The oxtails were tender and tasty, though I would’ve preferred a little less fat. Still, the flavor was outstanding and made the meal so satisfying. Also, they appear to use quality packaging to ensure safe delivery and hot food. Definitely worth returning for—this place captures the true essence of Jamaican comfort food!

I’ve been passing this place for the past month. Today was the day to stop in. Being retired military, I’ve been around the world and have eaten many different types of cuisine. I also have friends from the Caribbean, and Jerk Chicken is my favorite. The chicken is awesome with the perfect amount of kick. I also got the greens and Mac n cheese. Everything was perfect and I will be eating there more often. Thank you, your food is awesome!!!

I’ve heard a lot about this place.And me and my daughter finally went. I had the jamaican curry, chicken and my daughter had the jamaican oxtails. There’s a picture below of the oxtails, but it was so good that I forgot to take a picture of my food.I just wanted to finish eating it. I recommend this place.The food has so much flavor.

Great, accessible spot. My wife got the stewed chicken with greens and Mac & cheese, while I enjoyed a beef patty, coco bread and rice & peas – all were excellent! The pineapple soda and house ginger beer were solid too. Great wait staff and fun atmospheres. Music was a bit loud, but was good. Definitely going to return to try more of their selections.

How have I never been here before?!? This food is amazing. I really want to summarize this now, stope reading and go get yourself to Roland’s!
We stopped in and were warmly greeted (by a kind lady with an amazing accent) and seated right away in this very clean restaurant.
Everything on the menu looked so good we ended up ordering quite a few things to try. The Beef Patty had an amazing flaky crust and the perfect amount of spice. The Collard Greens deserve an award they are so good and the plantains were excellent. The Curry Chicken Roti Wrap is delish and huge, you could feed two people easily with it. The Jerk Chicken was well seasoned and tender. We did also try the Coco bread which had the texture of the softest cloud you ever felt.
Our server provided excellent service and he was super patient with all our questions. My only disappointment was that I was too full to try more things!

Second time visiting and having Roland’s and we always know it’s gonna be the best Jamaican food. Oxtails were super tender and the yams were a great amount of sweetness. I wish the price was lower than 30 for oxtails but it’s understandable

Compliments to the chef! Amazing flavors! I know this is my new gem and I’m very grateful for this restaurant in its original form. My husband enjoyed his dinner as well. I had the stewed chicken with peas and rice and a side of plantain. Hubby had jerk chicken, black beans and rice with a side of fries. Service was excellent. Thanks Adriana and Roland

We ordered from this establishment on a whim and based on the reviews. The reviews didn’t lie. My best friend from Detroit was a guest of mine over the weekend of 2/13 and we were in awe of the quality and portion of food, especially with it being a takeout order. Food was delivered fresh and ready to consume. My friend was very happy with the experience, and since I live here in Texas I will dine with you all again and tell a friend.

My So So Place to eat some Jamaica Food, other than the fish. Its not a Real Island Red Snapper! Counterfeit! The rice is not rice and peas but rice and beans. Authentic is a stretch with effort I guess. This Island man is saddened and I will not be dinning there.
