I have been to Carluccio’s several times, and never disappointed. The chicken piccata I had last night was delicious, and the atmosphere warm and comfortable. And yes, it is not fast food. You order, you wait. But that’s the way it’s supposed to be, it gives you time to enjoy and talk to the company you’re with or the people around you at the bar. Meanwhile your food is being cooked, not microwaved. And, while live music can be intrusive at some places, the music was awesome here. Background but class.

Bit on the pricey side for the portion size. The pasta was overcooked mushy not just the angel hair but ziti also. Sauce was clean but no marrow flavor . Like a high end “ragu” jar sauce . Not bad at all just middle of the road .

Ordered takeout and was not satisfied whatsoever with the food quality. Was told order would be ready at 7:05, but when I arrived I had to wait an additional 10 minutes before it came out. Somehow all 3 items I ordered were cold. Did not receive the garlic bread I ordered, and the Italian sandwich I specially asked for without tomatoes or peppers came with both on it. The $17 sandwich was basically inedible as it contained a few pieces of lettuce, couple slices of meat, and a giant bulky roll that fell apart. Looks like something thrown together in 5 seconds. Very dissatisfied.

Wow!! We experienced the best Italian dinner!!! Folks, this is the place to go on the Cape! The food, the wine, the desert!!!! The owner, Carlo, came to out table and visited. Such a personal touch to the whole meal experience! If I could give 10 stars I would!! Definitely coming back!!! Look at these deserts! Chocolate mousse and my favorite….Tiramisu. Soooo delicious!!!

This is a casual italin restaurant . Food is excellent and price us reasonable. I have eaten here 10 times or so and the food was consistently good. Carlo is genuinely concerned about feed back and has taken a couple of bar suggestions to heart. Great addition to the local restaurants.

Love this place! Cozy and friendly. Been there like 5 times since I moved here. So the owner is super nice and regular bartender is also. . But the service an d atmosphere was very off. Seemed like waitress was chatting with people at the bar. Thought she was the bartender but she wasn’t. Sat there while she chatted away while we just sat. Then we were told oh bartender will be here soon But not that I mind but made me feel like I shouldn’t be there. Also had 2 glasses of wine a d so did my husband Looked at the bill and found out we paid almost 50 dollars just for the wine. No water offered either. The owner wasn’t I that evening. Love the place but realized ca t afford to go at those prices prices. Food ordered was simple food. Total bill with tip over 100 dollars.

Best Italian place I’ve ever been to hands down. The inside is beautiful. Carlo, the owner was really friendly, he came over and introduced himself. People need to take notes from this man on how to run an Italian restaurant. I think his wife might’ve been our waitress. She was delightful and had a real mob wife vibe that made the experience feel even more authentic! And of course the food was delicious! Will be returning soon!

This place has improved dramatically over the past few years to become a real go-to for locals.
It’s friendly, food is good, portions are tremendous, prices are very fair, drink pours are large and the specials that Carlo runs are unbelievable.
We had the Wednesday Date Night special. Unrestricted menu.
1 appetizer. 2- Small salads, 2 entrees, 2 mini -desserts and 2 glasses of wine for $55. Unbelievable.
Highly recommend
Update: Summer’s here on the Cape– the date night special is now gone and the prices are up considerably. Yesterday’s food quality was iffy.
I’ll wait for the summer people to go home before I return…

Food was amazing!!! The staff is super friendly and attentive. Everything is house made, except for the desserts where they get from Modern Bakery in the North End in Boston. We will be back for sure!!
