I’ve driven by a few times and recently saw a food vlogger leave a review so I figured I’d try it out. Service was spot on – the guy working the front counter was very pleasant and patient while we figured out what we wanted. The place was clean and they brought our food out to us which was nice. The food itself was pretty good – as far as Korean fried chicken goes, I thought it was good but not the best I’ve had. I had the soy garlic sauce on the side which was delish and their fries and hush puppies were good. I’d definitely go back and give some other menu items a try. I love that they offer hibachi and they also have seafood bags too.

The food and customer service was great. I asked for my fish to be fried hard, I guess the cooks didn’t get the message. The drumettes are too huge, which I didn’t like. Others may like the size. I’ll ask and pay extra for all flats next time. I did said next time, meaning I will return. The young man learning the register and how to work a job performed well and will do wonderful with more experience and confidence. The person training him had a lot of patience and was giving him a lot key pointers to be successful. I really liked that.

I stopped by and checked out this restaurant. I tried the sweet onions on wings and shrimp steak. The restaurant is very clean. Location is awesome. Service was fast and I felt valued. Portion size was decent and the food was pretty good. In another two weeks, I’ll take a few friends there.

Came here on a Tuesday and they were closed. No hours of operation on the window, and Google showed they were open. Needless to say, I submitted a correction. Came back the next day and the food was good-pricey, but good. I won’t visit again because I feel like the cost doesn’t match the portions. Four dumplings were $8. Idk, in this economy I’d rather make them at home. lol.

I love how cute the place was inside they had some games, and plenty of seating. It was very clean inside the establishment.

The honey garlic chicken lacked garlic flavor, but it was fried to perfection. Everything was good, but it was unforgettable. Check it out for yourself. You may love it, I only like it.

We ordered a crab boil and chicken tenders. Everything was overcooked. The chicken was fried well, until it was dry. the crab/ shrimp boil was boiled so far past done that you could not get the meat out of the leg sections. The shrimp was left out of our crab boil. We had to make inquiries when we would get it. When the cashier brought the EZpeel shrimp to the table they were floating in a yellow liquid. I’m not sure what this liquid was but it was not melted butter. Perhaps an artificially flavored oil?
Now, that we have everything we ordered we asked about silverware, no silverware available. But there was a shrimp pick, that didn’t crack the crab shell. For that you had to use your teeth.
There were a lot of to go orders. Perhaps these people had learned the lesson of no silverware and enjoyed the flavored oil?

Me and my family came here for lunch. We have been so excited for this place to open just to be highly disappointed the food is under seasoned and not something anyone should waste their money on. Now let’s talk about the fried cheese balls.. they are inedible they are soft dough with cheese and then sprinkled on top is some sweet cheese powder which is absolutely disgusting. I think they need to make some changes personally. Fried cheese balls, shrimp hibachi, chicken teriyaki hibachi and a fry… $58.00
The place is so bad even Ryan trahan couldn’t find a way to give this place a 5 star review. The fries didn’t even have salt on them and when asked for salt they brought me a container of it.. not a packet but a Togo container of salt..

Walking into this establishment, it wasn’t what I expected but I decided to give it a try. We orderd the flounder basket which comes with two pieces of fish, fries and huspuppies. We were going to order fountain drinks but was told that the machine was down. The offered 12 oz drinks for the same price as fountain drinks. I asked for malt vinegar, they didn’t have any. The had ketchup packets and something that was supposed to be hot sauce, it was really bad. The fish was waterlogged. The fries were nice and hot; however, while I was eating, I noticed a hair in my tray in my fries. I gave two stars for service they did offer to refund, replace, or give me something different with no hassle. I went with the chicken tenders and I got them to go. Unfortunately, I didn’t want to take any chances, I decided not to eat that meal. I won’t be going back.

I had the most amazing experience thanks to our server, Colin, who is also the front-of-house manager. He was cordial, kind, and genuinely welcoming from the start. When a small issue came up, he handled it immediately — no questions, no hassle, just “We’ll take care of it.” That level of professionalism and care really stood out. Because of Colin, I will absolutely be back and of course, the amazing food.
If you haven’t been to Lava on Battlefield Boulevard, you really should go. The flavors, the taste, and the hospitality are top tier. I can’t speak for everyone’s experience, but I can confidently say Colin made ours exceptional.

I should have read the reviews 1st. I’ve driven by here a few times and wanted to try their fried chicken. Stopped in and it appears it’s not regular fried chicken so I went with chicken teriyaki, one of their top specialties. 1st off it was $16 for the entree only. It was small, no flavor and the rice seemed old. The chicken was not a regular chicken breast they cooked and chopped up. It seemed like fast food precooked chicken that was heated up and tossed in sauce.

I forced myself to eat it because I was hungry and paid for it but what a disappointment. It’s reminiscent of food court food. Not worth the price.

I got crab legs and soy garlic wings. The wings were good for the 1st couple of bits, but after a while , as they set and got cold, they started to taste like frozen chicken wings from a deep freezer. The crab legs were also just okay, they weren’t cleaned properly compared to some of the other boil bag establishments in the area and the garlic butter sauce was also just a 3/10. The egg and potatoes weren’t tasty. The corn was good.
