Brought to you buy the group behind Taco Flats and La Holly. Churchrow Tejas BBQ is a Tex-Mex Bar and Barbecue concept with Miguel Vidal leading the pits. Woodrow Avenue once housed a dozen churches and was nicked named Churchrow in the 1950’s, hence the name of the restaurant.

Miguel Vidal’s BBQ never disappoints, and this visit proved why. The Loaded Queso with brisket was rich and packed with flavor, and the drinks were just as strong — a perfectly balanced margarita, an excellent mezcal Paloma, and an impressive mezcal selection served right.
Every bite hit. The brisket tacos were smoky, moist, and wrapped in fresh homemade tortillas. Our son’s brisket mac and cheese was rich, cheesy comfort food taken to another level. My wife’s chopped brisket sandwich was juicy and spot-on.
Excellent BBQ, great drinks, and attention to detail. We’ll absolutely be back

Finally had the chance to give this place a try and it didn’t disappoint!

Tender rib, flavorful sausage, good smoky brisket and pulled pork on point.
The Mac and cheese is delicious as well.
Will definitely go back!!

What a gem ! We sat at the bar and had a fantastic meal and great service. We started with the Chorizo Bean & dip . House chips and this dip are scrumptious. Highly recommend giving it a try. We ordered some pulled pork and ribs as well. Ribs are cooked to perfection ! We got some habanero mustard sauce to try with the pulled pork and that is a winning combo for sure. Nice selection of tap beers. Two N/A beer options. Fantastic Tequila selection. Several TVs inside and out. 3 outside seating areas. Play area for the kiddos . A nice sized dog run also. We felt very welcomed and are going back really soon !

I’ve been to Churchrow Tejas BBQ many times — it consistently delivers bold, smoky flavors and fresh Tex‑Mex favorites. Drinks are creative and well-made—great cocktails!! The warm, lively atmosphere with upbeat music makes it a perfect spot for a delicious meal and a good time. Also that smash burger is ground brisket and should win an award !

Came here on a Sunday morning right about noon and there was no line. Even if there was a line, the food is absolutely worth the wait! (All great bbq places are going to have a line). The guacamole and chips were fresh and delicious. The barbacoa and fresh flour tortillas were delicious. Forgot to take a pic of the Real Deal Holyfield, however the brisket, egg, bean, potato, bacon and red salsa on a tortilla made for a delicious pairing! The patio was great to sit on and enjoy the great food! The service was also amazing and made the experience even better!

We came here when it was the previous restaurant and was disappointed. Noticed it had changed hands and concepts and we are SO glad we gave it another chance. Huge outdoor patio that is super dog friendly with a playscape for kiddos. But the real winner is the delicious food and tasty drinks. We had the smoked wings special and they were chef’s kiss*. Tried the guavarita (delicious) and their draft beer board is small but mighty. We will definitely be back, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I really wanted to like the food here, especially knowing the pitmaster’s background at Valentina’s BBQ — one of my all-time favorites.
Unfortunately, today’s experience was disappointing. The fatty brisket was dry, lacking the rich, moist texture I was expecting, and even after asking twice to confirm that I was served the right cut, it just didn’t measure up.
The beef rib also missed the mark — not bad, but far from great.
The off-menu flour tortillas were delicious, even though they cost (an expensive IMHO) $1 each.
I came in hoping for that same level of quality and flavor that made Valentina’s so memorable, but I left wishing the food had lived up to its potential.
On top of that, the ordering system is unusual. You have to wait outside and order one person/party at a time inside , which sounds miserable if there’s very hot or very cold weather. Thankfully the weather this morning was nice.

I can’t believe we got to see Miguel himself! Very humble and welcoming man. Great food. Loved the dishes they served us. Tender meats and hand-made tortillas. My daughter and I loved the soft opening and will definitely be back again for his famous brisket for the grand opening this week!

Holy moly 10/10! My husband and I came by today after a BBQ event we were headed to got rained out. Immediate yes because the gentleman who greeted us was so nice and friendly, took his time to welcome us as first timers and really go through the menu recommendations. You could tell he loved his job (wished I’d gotten his name!) The menu is super creative and different, and the food was GREAT. Really unique flavors and combinations. The brisket nachos were insane (fantastic brisket omg). Chickem skewers were smoky and perfectly cooked, with delicious sauce. My husband got tacos and said they were great (he’s a tough critic too). We loved it all and will definitely be back. And I’ll reiterate – friendly customer service people are the best and go a long way with a restaurant experience. This place has a great vibe as a bonus to the BBQ. Highly recommend.

I want to give a bad review so that this place doesn’t get bonkers like the other excellent bbq joints in town, but I can’t. It’s really good. I had the Valentina, some pork ribs and the Tejanita. I loved it all, but especially the Valentina. I will be back!
