Like most of JOEY management, CEO Jeff Fuller started his remarkable journey flipping burgers, washing dishes and sweeping floors. It’s called paying your dues, learning from the ground up and understanding what success takes. “If there’s a secret,” he says, “it’s hard work, unwavering commitment to the customer and assembling the very best people.” Jeff absorbed valuable lessons from his family’s successful businesses before striking out on his own with a brand new concept in upscale casual restaurants. The first JOEY opened in 1992 and, as word spread, plans for a second location were quickly in the works. Today there are 27 JOEY Restaurants across Vancouver, Kelowna, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Seattle and California.
Relaxed, contemporary dining spot with a broad menu featuring international & regional dishes.

The chicken tikka is another standout — tender, marinated just right, and bursting with that deep, layered flavor you only get from a chef who actually cares. It’s perfectly charred, perfectly seasoned, and honestly one of the best versions I’ve had outside a traditional Indian kitchen.
The ambiance ties it all together. The location is perfect — elevated but still comfortable, stylish without being pretentious, giving you that balance of chill energy and upscale dining. Low lighting, great music, and a crowd that knows how to set the vibe. It’s the kind of spot you walk into and automatically feel good in.
And the best part? The people you run into. This place stays packed with recognizable faces. I actually met some cast members from a Tyler Perry show during my visit — super down-to-earth and friendly — and it’s no surprise because a lot of celebrities frequent here. It’s definitely one of those restaurants where you never know who you’ll see, but the energy is always top-tier.
Overall, between the incredible food, smooth service, and that effortlessly cool atmosphere, this is absolutely a must-try. Perfect for dinner, late-night hangs, date night, or anytime you want good food and vibes.
The food was amazing, the atmosphere was lively but comfortable, and the service truly stood out because of Roman. If you go, ask for him — he made our first visit unforgettable!
Karalyn, Bri, and Ivan are amazing at the Bar, they always take good care of us every time we see them. Everyone in general is great.
Take a look at all the “recent” reviews and it’s clear to see they’re all first time reviewers (no previous history anywhere) and every one of them coincidentally remembers their server’s names?? Sort them by recency and they’d have you believe it’s a coincidence they’re all posting within minutes of each other? C’mon, JOEY, you can do better! Hard FAIL.
I was actually there and experienced the food and service first hand. They were busy, and our server tried, but it was PAINFULLY slow… Drinks took forever, refills took forever, food took forever, bill took forever, payment took forever…. Notice a trend here?
As far as our waitress, she was super nice and accommodating, just too many tables to work. The appetizers were great! The hummus was amazing, as were the truffle fries. Once our main dishes arrived the food was good, not great, not exceptional, just good. Portions were good. As far as atmosphere, it’s a very loud establishment and parking can be a pain, so plan for that accordingly.
Bottom line, not sure if it’s worth a return to this location…
The food was excellent. Everything we ordered was well prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell the kitchen pays attention to detail, from the quality of the ingredients to how each dish is plated. The menu has a great variety, so everyone at the table was able to find something they enjoyed.
The service was also a highlight. The staff was attentive, friendly, and professional without being overbearing. They checked in at the right times and made sure everything came out smoothly.
Overall, Joey in Woodland Hills is a great spot for good food, a nice ambiance, and a solid dining experience. Whether you’re going with friends, family, or for a date night, it’s definitely a place worth visiting.
