I have been a loyal customer of Takka Sushi for many years, and it never disappoints. The quality of the sushi is consistently great, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. A wonderful dining experience every time!

I’ve given this place multiple chances, and every single time it’s the same runaround. The food is good when you actually get it — but the service is consistently bad. At this point, it’s just not worth it.
I rarely leave reviews because it’s usually not worth the time or energy, but this experience pushed me to say something.
Do not order through Seamless or Grubhub. Especially on busy days. On Valentine’s Day, I expected delays and gave them grace. What I didn’t expect was being told repeatedly that my order was “coming” and “being made” while sitting there for 40+ extra minutes with no transparency. If they had simply acknowledged it wasn’t actually being prepared, I could’ve canceled and made other plans. Instead, it was constant deflection.
This isn’t new — I’ve experienced the same thing with delivery orders in the past. It’s a pattern. If you’re going to run a business, holiday or not, you need to staff appropriately, manage order volume, and update delivery times honestly. If it’s going to take over an hour, say that. Don’t string people along.
Completely ruined the night. Not worth the headache. There are plenty of other options nearby. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Very good to excellent Sushi. The rice is delicious, perfect temperature, soft. The portion of rice served with the Sushi is quite small, probably the size of a grape and Sushi drapes at least 1 inch beyond each end of the rice. I realize this is not traditional preparation but the proportion and flavor is perfect.
I shared a Taka Sushi for two which includes a delicious shrimp tempura roll. It served on a large butcher block-like tray with plenty of ginger and wasabi.

We ordered Sushi& Sashimi for two, the fish is fresh and tasty. Definitely try so Agedashi Dofu, soooooo good, you can only find it in authentic Japanese sushi place; outside is crispy and be careful inside is very hot. Combined with amazing sauce, just perfect! The steamed egg is in secret menu, with mushroom on top and a bit shrimp inside. You will like it if you are light taster.

Went here with my mother in the afternoon around 1. I entered the restaurant and was immersed in the colorful atmosphere. We picked a table for two, and saw that the menu has many options. Server was very friendly and came around to help us choose our order and refill tea. We got the Avocado Boat and Spicy Garlic Tuna appetizers. Food looks like it’s made for a king! Both were very good and very beautifully made shown in the pictures. Avocado Boat had an interesting sweet, sugary flavor to accompany the fish. Some may not like it. I also had sea urchin sushi. This one has a strange texture similar to ice cream! Some may like it, some may not. Fish were very fresh and tasty . Some fish are not available on the daily market. Highly recommend their appetizers, sushi and sashimi. Overall Taka Sushi is a fantastic restaurant!I

Taka Sushi in Summit is a 5-star gem for sushi newbies like me! Their miso soup is warm and balanced, Bento box offers great variety with tempura, California rolls, and a fresh side salad—the ginger dressing is very good, tangy and light. Loved the creamy avocado roll and fresh tuna tartar. Beginner-friendly service, fresh flavors—can’t wait to return!!!!

For $8 per regular roll, I didn’t expect halfnaked rolls.. Ordered 2 rolls and an appetizer. The two rolls came looking a size of one due to seriously lacking rice.
Quality of fish was just mediocre too. So not sure what the angle is.

I’m so sad 🙁 fish and chips was fishy and so was Kanni salad. 2 stars because service was great. Ppl do love taka tho but I think it got me sick cuz this never happens to me.
