The food was delicious, and the service was fast and friendly. The shrimp tasted super fresh (chimichangas), the fajita tex plate was a big portion cooked perfectly, the guacamole was tasty, and our “picky eater” child gave the refried beans 10/10. Some of the best Mexican food we have had in a long time, and we have tried most of them in Baton Rouge!

My wife and I decided to try Nelson’s since they are just down the road from home. My wife got the Chimichangas and I got the Steak Fajitas to go. It was great!! We are thrilled to have a Mexican place that is not only close, but has great food.
This is a small family restaurant and they are just getting stared. You should definitely give Nelson’s a try and support this local family restaurant. We will be going back soon! Thanks for a great meal!
