I had the pleasure of trying this spot back in December, and the experience was unforgettable. From the moment I got my food, I could tell it was made with care, tradition, and real flavor. Everything was hot, fresh, and seasoned perfectly. Every bite was rich, comforting, and full of authentic taste — the kind of food that instantly puts you in a good mood.

The portions were generous, the quality was outstanding, and you can truly taste the love in the cooking. It felt like more than just a meal — it was an experience. I left completely satisfied and still catch myself thinking about how good the food was.

Highly recommend.

If you’re planning to visit El Kiosquito Boricua on a busy weekend night, just a heads-up: it’s popular. The line moves pretty slowly, so you’ll want to bring some patience along with your appetite.

The meal itself felt very unpretentious, home-style cooking that focuses on flavor over fancy plating. I tried the stewed steak and onions, rice with pigeon peas, and plantains. The steak was really tender, and the portions were very generous. I also tried the pizza empanadas, which were pretty good as well. We ended up taking some bread pudding home for later. It was excellent—really good texture and just the right amount of sweetness.

Overall, it’s a great spot if you’re looking for an authentic, home-cooked meal that doesn’t feel mass-produced; just be prepared to wait a bit if you’re visiting on a busy night.

First time eating here tonight and I have to say it was a fun experience. First off, the customer service was excellent. Paty was so nice explaining all the delicious dishes. She also made the best piña coladas (no alcohol, highly recommend.) We tried the carne guisada & pastelón (plantain lasagna) which were flavorful. We live an hour away, but it was well worth the drive. We cannot wait to return & try everything on the menu.

This place is an absolute gem.

I came in as a regular customer, paid for my meal, and left impressed. The food was flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. Portions were generous, and everything tasted exactly how it should.

The chuleta can-can stood out the most—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned perfectly. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they put out. Their specialty sauces and variety of options really separate them from other spots in the area.

Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere made the experience even better.
Definitely a spot worth checking out, and I’ll be back.

Delicious boricua food in Cleveland! Empanadillas are flaky and crispy and the fillings are delicious! We had bistec guisado and lasagna (pastelón) and both were amazing. It was like being at my Abuelas house back in Puerto Rico!

They were absolutely welcoming. Felt like a warm hug from abuela before school. Yes we have authentic places all around but, this place took me home. El arroz borichino was phenomenal. The empanadilla de pastelon was unique (might be my new favorite besides kikuet pizza). The Chinese style ribs were 10/10. Soft yet firm and juicy. Sopa de pastele warmed me up like lemon tea when you’re sick. If you’re in the area you absolutely have NO excuse to not give it a try.
