Food isn’t bad at all pull pork flavorful soft, but Becareful of brisket I had pretty good half fatty brisket but my wife unfortunately had very lean brisket. Which was dry and not so good. Ask for fatty pieces

It hurts me as a veteran restaurant employee of over 20 years to leave a bad review especially bc the food is good, but… the service… is a total joke!!! Total lack of professionalism, total lack of experience, no clue how to serve or how to approach a table, or steps of service. Twenty minutes for basic soft drinks and 2 beers? No plates or napkins for the appetizers I had to ask for them and got a reaction as if I was asking for extra sauce. Apparently, they lack kitchen staff bc someone came over and said “Sorry, the kitchen got slammed all at once.” We could see just 2 or 3 people working in the kitchen from our table. We were very confused, bc the restaurant wasn’t even full and could clearly see everyone was waiting for a long time for their food and growing impatient. Not to mention they were out of their brisket which should have been mentioned when we received menus. My husband lost all patience and we had to leave. We threw some cash down for what we ate and drank and then left. Never again. Sad. Very sad.

Chop Shop has long been one of our favorite places (bbq or otherwise) to eat and we always look forward to its annual reopening. As a kid originally from Kansas City, I’ve long asserted that your ribs are the best this side of the Missouri River, so please take this as honest feedback from long time patrons and huge fans
We had dinner with you last Sat night and while all of the incredible flavors you create (especially that magical rib rub) were there, the condition of the food served to us was disappointing. The ribs and brisket, normally succulent, hot and juicy, were overall dry and tepid as if it had all been sitting around too long (and not after being put up to go out, but like all day, so not the waitress’s fault). One disappointing experience after years of excellent ones won’t prevent us from returning. But if inconsistency in quality control becomes the norm, you’ll lose a loyal patron. The price of eating out has become too dear to gamble.

Best dang wings I have had in a long time! I’m assuming the blue cheese is homemade because it is unlike any other blue cheese I have ever had. Food came out quick and everything was beyond delicious. Wish we didn’t live 3 hours away. I would be back weekly!
