This place is excellent. The staff is friendly. The oven is hot and in your face. The pizza is scrumptious. Cooking in the hot wood oven makes the crust crunchy and soft and so flavorful.
We had the sweet and spicy soppressota. It was amazing! The garlic bread alone is worth the drive and price of admission.
The place is small and the oven dominates the space. The seating is outdoor only, so consider that when you go.
I highly recommend Bickside Pizza.

Amazing pizza, one of the best I’ve ever had. Delicious sauce and toppings, the dough is crunchy and savory. Coal fired in a brick oven, can’t get better than this. The only con is that this is a takeout place only. Conversion to dine-in could take this place to the next level.

What a truly happy accident! We were trying for a pizza place in Chester on the way to Essex & got jammed up in a town wide Halloween celebration with streets blocked off.
Google led us to Brickside, without advising it was predominantly take out. When we arrived, a little lost & out of sorts, the crew of three completely welcomed us. With barely any interior seating, they allowed us to dine in & served us with a smile like we were locals.
The pizza was phenomenal. CT always talks about this pizza or that pizza, but this wood fired pizza was bar none. I have, literally, never had better. And the salad. Nobody cares about salad, right? But, Brickside has a great salad too! Gem lettuce & quality toppings – no watery iceberg here!
I just can’t rave enough or thank them enough for making our family feel like their family. We kept the menu & will figure out a way to visit again in the future!

This is a takeout review. All food is eaten promptly in the vehicle. I had a pepperoni pizza and a sausage and onion stuffed bread. The stuffed bread was outstanding, a beautiful flaky crust with loads of flavor and house made marinara. The pizza was excellent. Great crust, although I would have liked a little crisp on the bottom. Very nice sauce to cheese ratio with a tasty(and wonderfully cupped) pepperoni. A bonus were the three people working the store. Just great personalities. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 9.1.

Found this amazing thin crust pizza cooked in a beautiful Italian wood fired oven by chance as we found ourselves looking for a quick bite in the town of Ivoryton. We ate outside and it was very pleasant. The pizza was top notch. We had a cheese and a buffalo chicken pie, both large. Dough, sauce and toppings were all excellent and it was cooked perfectly. Will definitely go back if in the area again.

Excellent Pizza. The dough is perfect, soft but crunchy. The sauce was excellent. Had a margarita and a mashed potato with no meat.. Both were excellent but the mashed potato was sublime.
