One of the best croissant sandwiches I have had. The kitchen was slow at 11:30 on a Sunday. Excellent point of sale in that you can order without talking to a human.

How do you add a new twist got an old favorite? Change the ingredients! This was my first time eating here at grandmas cheese, and I’m so thankful I stopped here to support a small family owned local business. I got to meet the owners and their family and it’s always a bonus to know when good food is backed up by great people.

I ordered the classic grilled cheese. Classic is clearly an understatement here as this mozzarella (original flavor) he’s definitely worth making a trip for!!

The tomato soup was clearly homemade and has just the right amount of thickness; with explosive flavor.

So yummy!! Highly recommend you stop here when you’re in Long branch and looking for a good comfort food. Cheers!

I had high hopes for Grandma’s Cheese Cafe, but my experience was absolutely disappointing. I ordered half a sandwich and paid $30, which is outrageous considering the portion size and quality. The sandwich itself was tiny, poorly constructed, and lacked any real flavor or creativity—just a bland combination of ingredients that felt rushed and uninspired.
The presentation didn’t help either; it looked sloppy and unappetizing, especially for the price point. On top of that, the service was slow and inattentive, which made the experience even more frustrating. For $30, I expected a carefully crafted, delicious meal—not something that felt like an afterthought.
Overall, the combination of ridiculously high prices, subpar taste, and poor service makes it impossible for me to recommend this place. There are plenty of other cafes and sandwich spots where you can get much better quality, larger portions, and a far more enjoyable experience without feeling ripped off. Sadly, Grandma’s Cheese Cafe did not live up to its name or my expectations.

The food was out of this world, I have never had plain toast that tasted so flavorful. The atmosphere and ambience was off the charts.
