The place has great view. Outdoor seating available but for my opinion probably will be beautiful and better on the late evening with the lights on.
Staff was great and super friendly.
Food wasn’t the best but also wasn’t bad either. Manhattan clam chowder felt like wasn’t house made there was more veggies than clams.

We had a great meal. Food was outstanding and service was very good. Great views of the bay from this second story restaurant. My wife had the scallop special and I had the halibut special, both were excellent. The scallops were seared perfectly. The New England clam chowder was also very good. Dessert was key lime pie and lemon mascarpone cake. Both were delicious.

My daughter held her wedding at Sunset Seafood in Tuckerton last weekend. All the food was delicious and presentation was beautiful. We can’t say enough good things about the professional and friendly service of Brigid and her staff. Brigid was so easy to work with during the planning process that the anxiety that usually goes along with wedding planning was eliminated. She took care of all the estimations of the amount of food needed, timing of cocktail hour/dinner/dessert, allowing delivery of desserts and beverages ahead of time as well as making room for a bartender and musician. The flexibility of menu choices made it easy to make sure there was something for everyone. We were fortunate to have nice weather and the staff set up chairs for the ceremony outside by the bay which was a wonderful setting. We were able to enjoy a beautiful sunset during the dinner hour upstairs. I would highly recommend Sunset Seafood for your special event.

New Years Eve 2025
The last day of the their season. Our last meal of 2025. No better place to spend it than with the amazing staff at sunset seafood. The food was delicious as usual. Very festive atmosphere.
We look forward to them reopening in March. Happy 2026 to everybody. Be safe, be happy, and be healthy. Peace

Prior to having dinner at Sunset, we heard mixed reviews, generally related to comparisons with the prior establishment, Panini Bay.
We were not disappointed. At all. We had a reservation for a party of four and the day before our dinner, they were able to accommodate the reservation to a party of five. As our aunt was turning 87, we wanted to take her out for a nice meal.

FOOD
None of us were disappointed at all. Our table started with clam chowder, shrimp cocktail, little necks, and oysters on a half shell. All we’re very fresh and tasty.
Entrees at the table where the salmon, chicken parm, chicken francese, shrimp scampi, and I had the red snapper special. I’m glad this was a special, because moving forward I would probably order nothing else. The fish was tender and juicy. Clams, mussels, and roasted peppers accented the entree which was served over risotto with an amazing garlic butter sauce.
For dessert, the three women at the table shared a chocolate pie. None of them were disappointed. This was after a very nice happy birthday serenade by not only our server, but the three bus staff as well.

SERVICE
Kim was our server that on a busy Saturday night was ever-present. Spot on, very friendly. Walt, or Walter, was the manager who made a point of going to each table. He came to ours twice and was very personable. As mentioned before, the kitchen was great, but the bus staff were probably the hardest working in the restaurant. No sooner had you emptied your plate or finished your pitcher of water, and they were right there. Always with a smile. The meal was that much better because those working there, really seemed to enjoy working there.

ATMOSPHERE
Second floor, overlooking the bay. Need I say more?
It was much like reserving a hotel room. Every table had a Bay View, but some had Bayside seating. Ask for a table by the window if you can!
It can get a little loud, so expect that. There are sound dampers on the ceiling, but three of the walls are covered in windows, so not much more can be done. But that’s an amazing meal and you are overlooking the bay.

We took a walk and discovered this place along the way. We decided to stop in to have a drink but they don’t have a bar. So we decided to have some apps. We got the steamed clams they were ok but needed a little white wine or herbs to kick it up a little otherwise they were very plain but still tender. We also got mussels red with a little hot pepper…and man were they good. The mussels were cooked perfectly and not gritty with just the right amount of seasoning and a little extra bread was offered for mopping up the delicious sauce. We will return soon with our own wine and have a full meal.

We found this seafood restaurant last minute and the food was hot, fresh and delicious. The service was in need of revamping. We had clams just delicious, then had their salmon to
die for hot, fresh, served with fresh spinach saute. Great flavor was a great experience. The views were awesome right on the water .we will be back .nice job done by all .

Beautiful setting on the bay. Formerly Panini Bay, now under new ownership. Arrived on a Wednesday, 12:30pm, because it gets rather busy at dinner. Menu items pretty pricey, but, what isn’t anymore? I don’t expect good seafood for cheap. Ordered fried clams for appetizer. Also was able to try the fried calamari. The clams were golden brown and crispy. Very good. The calamari was wide big pieces ,a little thicker than I like, but ok. My friend thought they were great. Tried lobster roll, and crab cake sandwich. The lobster roll was one of the better ones I’ve had, although very small. The crab cake was good, but left more to be desired. Seemed like frozen vs. Homemade. Both came with fries. They serve bottled Italian water at $8 each. BYOB. service was very slow, one waitress for the whole room. About 6 tables were seated. Very pleasant though. Ill go back again next income tax return season. Bón Appétit!!

1) Great finding a Good Seafood Restaurant that is super easy to get to on the weekend.
Did Not have to deal with route 72 traffic.
Beautiful view of the Great Bay too.
2) The food distinctive seafood seasoning. You can tell they keep their fryers oil very clean. Light batter and the food portions were a good serving.
3) The utensils were super clean .
4) Service was upbeat and spontaneous.
5) The prices were competitive.

Definitely a repeat visit.
For a restaurant that opened a few months ago, they are professionally on the way to becoming a landmark restaurant.
Kudos to Walter and the crew.

You have to hear this one…went on a Saturday at 3:00pm. Greeter was nice. We were the only customers. This is a second story restaurant on the water. Every window was open and every ceiling fan was spinning on high speed. As we received our menus, we asked if the fans could be turned off and a few windows closed. Greeter stated he would have to check with the owner and left. Checked the temp with my phone, was 55 degrees with a breeze via all the open windows. Greeter returned and stated the owner wants to keep the room at a certain temperature. It was cold. I stated I didn’t want to eat with my coat on and at least could they just turn off the ceiling fans. Greeter although very understanding and affordable, stated he could not due to the owner wanting a certain temperature . We left. I would understand if the place was full or even crowded. It was warmer on the ground outside without the fans and cross breeze. Nice to know they didn’t need the business , and the theory that the customer is right . I guess the owner forgot that he isn’t the only restaurant in town. Never ho back. Should you go, bring a coat, hat, and gloves.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. The crab cake sandwich, in particular, was outstanding!
I’m definitely planning to visit again.
