Oro Nami Review – Kosher Food and Drink
Reviews
The service was great, friendly and knowledgeable. Our food came out fast and the portion size was generous. We ordered the popcorn “shrimp” which were prawn sized, served on rice and with a delicious drizzle. The volcano roll and fried tuna roll.
Very satisfying (and pretty) $25 dollar lunch special, with miso soup added separately (very cold day). Got fries as my app, which were seriously amazing – perfect crisp, best fry sauce I’ve ever had. Enjoyed the whole meal tremendously!! Hope they add a dessert soon, like a roulade matcha roll or those little mochi ice cream bites at whole foods. Either way, will be back for lunch date – meal and ambiance (especially for a kosher place) top notch.
The sushi and other menu items are fresh and thoughtfully prepared, with a nice balance of flavors and presentation. The bar also has a solid selection that pairs well with the food without being overwhelming.
Another plus is the location—it’s close to the capital and easily accessible from major airports, which makes it a convenient choice whether you’re local or just passing through.
A wonderful option for anyone looking for quality kosher sushi in a great setting.
It’s not a very big place, but there were a few free seats Saturday night (it was mostly full), which surprised me.
the service was prompt and friendly, and the food was perfect. the first go around, i got traditional rolls (maki, spicy tuna, salmon) and my boyfriend got a couple specialty rolls. the specialty rolls are *large* portions! even for him, someone who works out often and eats a lot, couldn’t finish 3 of the specialty rolls. definitely worth every penny to have something to take back to our hotel. highly recommend the orange dragon, rainbow roll, and any of the traditional rolls offered.
the location is wonderful if you’re staying nearby, as it was a quick walk for us. the decor, the service, and the food make this a memorable experience and will absolutely be a stop we make the next time we are in DC.
The food is great.
My personal recommendation has to be the blossom martini, perfect for the season and goes well with the sushi.
