Third times a charm. They were open this time. So i put my laundry in the wash next door and headed over to Kitten.
I had the shrimp Mayo toasted Bread. I thought it was great. Also had the egg roll plate. They were pretty good. Both items were served popping hot. I had to wait and let them cool. This is always a must for me… hot food needs to be hot.
I had the BBQ pork sandwich. It was a little salty for me but im also getting over a cold and my tastey buds are probably a little wacky.
The bread was fresh and perfect crunchy.
All in all I will give this place another shot.

Vegan Sandwich and the Vegan Rolls were great. The sandwich is large, served warm, and is tasty. Filled with Tofu, Yams, Carrots, Jicama.
The rolls are great. Decently sized and 4 come in an order. They’re all individually wrapped. Delectable.

Absolute staple of my favorite restaurants in the Bay Area. Have always taken care of me and the food is next level. I always love a great bahn mi and this one is my favorite. I come from redwood city and it’s always worth the 45-60 min drive.

I believe it was the owners that helped us out and they were very polite, were busy making orders, but paid attention to us and said they would be with us shortly.
I got the mayonnaise bread, BBQ Pork Sandwich, Egg Rolls and a Thai Iced Tea. The sandwich was amazing, as was the mayonnaise bread. I’m not a big Thai iced tea guy, so that was just okay. I enjoyed the egg rolls as well, especially dunked in the chili sauce. Come check it out when you are in Pacifica.

Vegans items are not clearly labelled, would clarify with staff.
Got the tofu bahn mi with no mayo. Very flavorful and still moist despite the no mayo as the tofu was marinated and moist. Small amount of seating inside and one small table outside.

I wanted to like this place but it was a bit disappointing. The chicken over rice was a bit sparce and dry, and the pork over vermicelli was just okay. Prices are relatively fair and definitely had worse, but I had higher hopes for this place given other reviews.

Was craving a good Banh Mi so I decided to give this place a try. I ordered for pick up through the phone and picked it up in <20 mins. Upon pick-up, the owners were friendly and welcoming! Ordered the BBQ Pork Sandwich and Vegan Sandwich. So good! The Banh Mis were packed with veggies… A+. Prices were cheap at only $7 a sandwich!

So I am rounding up on my review.
I would prefer to give the food 3.7 stars. The sandwich had a generous amount of meat. I think the vegetables could have been fresher. They didn’t come off as crisp as they should have. The staff was definitely very kind. The egg rolls were good. Not overly greasy for something deep fried. I would like to go back and try the other dishes.

Really nice mom and pop banh mi shop! The owners are super nice and the banh mi are the kind I grew up with. Prices match what you find in the other local joints at $8 a sandwich. Haven’t tried their other dishes, but there’s pics on the walls and they all look good.
