If you’re looking for authentic Greek food, this is your place! We started with the Greek dips and pita — everything was fresh and full of flavor. The beet salad was delicious and a great balance to the meal. We also had the gyro pita and chicken souvlaki, both were cooked perfectly and packed with great taste. The Greek lemon dill potatoes were a fantastic side and a great addition — so flavorful!
We ended with the baklava made in-house — it was nut-forward, perfectly flavored with just the right balance of cinnamon and honey. Absolutely delicious!
We ate at the bar and the bartender was personable and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Portions were perfect, the service was great, and the quality was excellent. We will definitely be back!

We were a large party and we received excellent service! Everyone was very warm and professional! The owner came out to check in on us before and after our meal. And all of the food items our party ordered were delicious! I had a nice riesling as well. Would definitely come back to this gem!

The food, service, and atmosphere at El Greco exceeded our expectations in every way: it was fantastic. We started our dinner with the fried calamari and Greek Bites Platter with chicken. The platter was amazing: extremely tender, tasty chicken, olives, cheeses, veggies: it was like the sneak preview of what was to come! We ended up doing a family style share, ordering the Village Meat Platter, Loukaniko (sausage), and a chicken-spinach special. After watching two people close their eyes as they bit into a lamb chop, I decided I would try it even though I don’t care for lamb at all. Well – I THOUGHT I didn’t like lamb. It was mouth watering savory awesome. We were hard-pressed to identify our favorite dish: sausage maybe won? But no, the lamb? No wait, the chicken? The prices were great given the quality, quantity, and presentation. The waitress was delightful, helping with wine and menu choices. We ended the dinner with baklava, another food that I THOUGHT I disliked… but even that was divine! I also loved the ambience of the restaurant: it was smaller than I expected, cozy warmth! Highly recommended!

Wow what a beautiful Greek restaurant! They made this corner restaurant of east Rochester amazing from outdoor dining, trees , tables , umbrellas & real downtown feel. Definitely 5 stars , when I saw it , I needed to check it out. Was able to be seated out & has sunshine too. I had the classic geek stable gyro & they severed with homemade roasted slice potatoes slices , with a signature style. Check it out homemade / chief entrées, and dinners made fresh!

On 5/30/25 we had the pleasure to have dinner at the wonderful El Greco. Our appetizer was the delicious the Octopodi – the poaching sauce was amazing. For the entrees we dined on Sausage w/veg & Feta and the Traditional Gyro Pita. I have never ever had such fresh and tender Pita bread. Both dinners were excellent. And, for desert, we had baklava. Our proud waiter Dimitris told us it was just baked – only hours old. Heavenly. Thank you Mike, Natalie and Dimitris.

For the main course, we indulged in succulent lamb chops cooked to perfection as well as a flavorful beef souvlaki that was juicy and well-seasoned. The sides were simple yet tasty, with fluffy pita and perfectly roasted potatoes.
