This restaurant is beautifully decorated. The food is presented well but the flavors are very diluted. Not the typical Indian spice levels. This comes from someone who can handle a normal amount of spice. If the food had a little more chili it would definitely be a great Indian restaurant.

We went on a Wednesday night and had prompt service! For appetizers, we ordered the Bombay shrimp which had a kick to it and had the samosa chat. The chickpeas in the dish were cooked perfectly and the sauce was amazing. We ordered the butter chicken and it was great. But the star of the meal was the bread basket! So tasty and offered a variety to try with the butter chicken

My girlfriend and I absolutely LOVE this place. We went here on a whim for lunch one weekend and we went back 2 more times in the next week. The food is some of the best Indian food I have ever had, especially in the US. The service is phenomenal, I don’t think I’ve ever been taken care of as well at any place in the same price range as I have been each time I’ve been here. Every staff member is extremely friendly, very observant, and very quick to get things done, I’m one of those folks that wish tipping culture died, but these folks truly deserve it. Otherwise the restaurant is kept exceptionally clean, the music is kept to a nice volume, its open concept but even when full its not too noisy, and everytime you walk in the fragrance of incense and amazing food hits you right away.
I’ve been to some awesome restaurants, this is truly one of the best. Cannot recommend enough.

Long time customer. Love being here for all meal options – lunch, weekend buffet, and dinner. Super affordable for the quality, service and ambience. Lunch options run $15-25 depending on drinks you have. Dinner can be $25-$40 per person depending on drinks options too.
Narain (been around for at least 10+ years) comes across as a senior manager here and he and the rest of the staff are always attentive. Rajina is also one of our favorite hosts. The staff is also pretty loyal and I don’t see the turnover I see in other restaurants. The owners, the Sharmas, also seem to pay attention to their restaurant and all aspects of its success. Hence they have locations across DMV.
Overall, this restaurant is for all seasons and all occasions.

this is hands down the best indian place in the dmv. i’ve been coming here with friends since 2020 and throughout the years and tests of time it has remained fantastic (even with a recent menu change). the people working here are always so lovely and remember regulars, and the food is something i crave monthly if not bi-weekly. i love going to restaurants and have a few favorites, but often my love for a place changes or i have an experience that changes my mind about a location, that trend has never been true for bollywood bistro and i am sure it never will. to the team, thank you so much for everything throughout the years, i wish you all and the restaurant prosperity. and to those reading this review, if you haven’t been here already you are missing out!

Been coming here on/off for the last 10+ years and have nothing but great things to say about the service, food selections and ambiance of the restaurant, especially with the recent expansion. Great service all around, love being greeted every time I come ( I frequent here alot!) and the lunch buffet is superb! The Tikka Masala is a great hit and all of the buffet selections are always hot and fresh. Everything is top notch, delicious and tasty. Highly recommend if you are looking for a solid value for a buffet along with great service and inviting ambiance. 10/10!

Been eating at Bollywood Bistro in Fairfax for a dozen years or more. The food is consistently excellent and the service is even better. Narain has been here since I started coming and warmly greets everyone with a smile. He remembers repeat diners and details of their lives that they share.
