Absolutely one of the best, if not THE BEST omakase spot in the city! I have had plenty of omakase all over in NYC and recently visited Japan (see other reviews).. this was truly a tasty experience. Great order and preparation of each piece. The sushi rice was flavorful, which a great size to each cut. The chef was nice and clear in explaining, staff were attentive and you are not rushed here. Loved that part compared to some others you can feel overwhelmed. This location was perfect, they seem to have several other locations so looking forward to seeing how those are. Highly recommend this neighborhood gem!
Notable favorites to get extra of.. the Eel, King Salmon and Fatty Tunas (duh).

Amazing omakase experience — great food, great vibes, even greater people!
We stopped by Omakase 95 for their grand opening lunch special and had such a wonderful time. The chefs and staff were incredibly friendly — they made the whole experience feel warm, relaxed, and fun. You can really tell they love what they do!
The food was so fresh and beautifully prepared. Every piece was delicious — from the handroll to the melt-in-your-mouth wagyu and all the nigiri in between. The pacing was smooth, and we could watch the chefs preparing everything right in front of us. It felt personal and thoughtful without being too serious.
Their 14-course Chiba set during the 30% grand opening promo was such an amazing value. We also tried the Zaku sake, which paired perfectly with the meal.
Overall, highly recommend! Great hospitality, great quality, and such an enjoyable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back again soon! ✨

This omakase place was one of my best experiences. Our chef Alex was incredible. We had the 15 course and every course was amazing, the fish was so incredibly fresh. The textures, flavors, umami of how each sushi was done was perfect. A joy in each bite with fresh ginger to cleanse each palate. We liked it so much we got some additional items like the scallop, oysters shooter, and king salmon. The donburi had this perfect wood smokey smell as soon as you opened it and the chef special was full of flavor. We can’t wait to go back!

We had their valentine’s day special and loved it! All of the courses were fresh and super buttery! I really enjoyed their nigiri, especially because it came with much thicker pieces of fish compared to most omakase places. I left feeling decently full, which I can’t say about some other omakase I’ve tried. Can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely loved this restaurant! It was the best omakase experience of my life — every course was incredibly delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The price is very fair, not overpriced at all for the quality you get.
The place is spotless, modern, and beautifully designed, and you can truly feel the professionalism and passion of the team. Everything was on a very high level, from service to presentation.
They also mentioned that more non-alcoholic wines will be available starting January 2026, which is a great addition.
Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!
My favorites are oyster shooter, mini donburi, and kampachi

I was really craving some omakase and was in the neighborhood and was told about this place opening up so decided to check it out. The staff, specifically Abbie, was amazing! Super kind and very welcoming We came here as a walk-in and thankfully they were able to accommodate the 4 of us because it definitely got busy for dinner! My in-laws haven’t really ever had omakase, but love sushi and they lost their minds at how delicious everything was. They’re not going to be able to go back to “regular” sushi after that Chef Alex was really nice and did a great job keeping up with lots of patrons and the order of groupings. What’s also nice about Omakase 95 is that they have the menu list for that day/night so you can also see what you’re eating with some additional detail and you can see what’s coming next. We all got the premium omakase because why not? My in-laws are pescetarians so they missed out on the A5 wagyu (which was delicious!), but their substitution was equally delicious! It was a great time and I can’t wait to go back! It’s a long trek from south Brooklyn, but I think I’ll have to come back sooner rather than later

Brand new omakase spot! I dropped by yesterday for dinner and chose the premium omakase and everything was amazing! You get 15 courses for $69 which is a great deal! Usually I walk out of omakase still hungry, but the cuts were fresh and filling! And the service was wonderful and everyone was so kind! Would recommend everyone to go and try!

Amazing quality omakase experience for a reasonable price. The atmosphere was nice and the service was good, nothing over the top. The fish was outstanding and the chef took time to explain each course. They’re running a promo right now so def check them out! Even with out the promo deal still amazing value. Great new spot in UWS! Will certainly be my new go to omakase spot. Every dish was amazing. The service was also incredible and the attention to detail was top tier! I am a lefty and the chef noticed and served me my pieces so I could pick them up with my left hand. I highly recommend the sake they have on tap. 10/10 spot!

Omakase 95 was my first omakase experience and I’m so glad that it was! My reservation was at 5:30 but I arrived at 5 and was seated right away. Walking inside there was a long, beautiful counter where were served our food and there’s also a little bar area. I was alone and they were so nice to me, chit chatting and making me feel welcomed.
They currently have a soft opening menu and I had the premium. Oh goodness. Each piece was so delicious in its own way. The chefs in general were extremely nice and friendly. They explained each piece as they placed it in front of you. Every piece of fish was soooo fresh and you can tell they really took the time to create the individual flavors/textures of each piece.
We started with 2 apps. First one was an oyster shooter- omg this was so different flavor and texture wise- I loved everything about it! The second was the mini donburi bowl which again, flavors were just amazing. Then came the individual pieces of nigiri. I loved them all but I think the show stopper for me was the last piece- the A5 Wagyu topped with fresh truffle and uni. I added an extra piece off the menu as well, the “Chefs Special” – that piece was so hearty with fantastic textures, def one of my faves as well! We also got a nice little dessert to finish off the amazing meal.
I also need to add that I left feeling satisfyingly full lol I will absolutely be coming back here again!
