Update: Got the Franks Doughnut Bread pudding to go. OMG it was good!
Today’s brunch was no exception. I got a fruit and yogurt parfait, while my partner got the bananas foster French toast. The yogurt in my dish was somehow split? It was watery and lumpy. Not sure why they thought that was OK to serve. Someone else in my party ordered the same, and also got the yogurt soup.
On the French toast, it came with a mound of walnuts, despite no mention of them on the menu. My partner has a nut allergy, so we had to send it back. When I asked one of the employees, they shrugged and said Bananas foster always has nuts, which is not my experience. They did give us a new plate, however there must have been cross contamination with the French toast egg mixture, as I had to run and grab a benedryl to stave off the anaphylaxis
Among the new menu offerings, the shrimp tacos are a must-try. They are simply phenomenal! The shrimp are perfectly cooked – juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. Complemented by a delightful blend of fresh ingredients, every bite is a harmonious balance of textures and tastes.
But it’s not just the shrimp tacos that have impressed me. The entire menu has seen a significant upgrade, showcasing a variety of dishes that cater to all tastes. From hearty entrees to light bites, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
The ambiance of the clubhouse has also improved, creating a warm and welcoming environment for golfers and visitors alike. Whether you’re looking to relax after a round of golf or simply enjoy a delicious meal with friends, our clubhouse is the perfect spot.
Kudos to the new management and the dedicated kitchen staff for their hard work and commitment to quality. The food here is better than ever, and I highly recommend everyone to come and experience it for themselves.
Chef Chase’s diverse menu includes American fare such as burgers and fries, pizza, and chicken tenders, along with a little of the southwest with tacos and quesadillas, to a southern favorite, bread pudding made with local donuts.
The bar service was friendly with excellent prices. $3.00 domestic draft is unheard of.
Family favorites are the shrimp tacos, the flatbreads, and the pork rolls, but you can’t go wrong with any of the delicious items on the menu!
Family-friendly but also perfect for a date night or dinner out with friends, this restaurant, located in the historic home of General John Payne, is a great choice in Georgetown!
