This place is great! They are located inside the barn shaped building if you have any trouble finding it. They have a large menu and are able to customize their dishes to fit your taste or diet restrictions. The portions are generous and the service is friendly.

This Mexican restaurant has an upbeat vibe to it. When I walked in, it was bright and hip hop music was blaring from the speakers. In terms of the decor, I think there was a wood motif. Yes.I.said it.There was just a whole lot of wood! In addition there were a couple sparse Mexican decorations adorning the walls.

For food, first things first: the chips and salsa. The chips and salsa tasted fresh enough; however they weren’t extraordinary. But the mushroom and cheese quesadilla I ordered absolutely was! Freshly sauteed button mushrooms swimming in gooey mozzarella cheese all stuffed into a crispy flour tortilla. It was flavorful! The mushrooms were well-seasoned. This quesadilla was everything! And all for $4.99. I also tried a Chile relleno that was decent. The sauce on it had a good flavor, maybe guajillo or something. But it was served to me only lukewarm and the breading was soggy.

This quesadilla gave me a new way to gauge how good a dish is:

If you are eating something and-before you finish-you start to wonder if the restaurant is open the following day or you have any other thoughts concerning the next time you will be able to experience the food again then that dish is some kind of excellent.

This quesadilla had me at Cabana Mexican Grill two days in a row! Trust me, you should check it out.

I absolutely love this place. It is always clean and the staff is so friendly. Its usually the same 2 people working the front, but they are incredible and never seem stressed out. This place is great!!
There is no alcohol, but that is okay with me.

We shared a delicious and generous Cabana Special to celebrate a birthday.

We received excellent service and our food quickly. We will go back!

The food was nothing short of excellent. Very flavorful. Was a bit surprised at the overall cost of the meal. It was really good but there are many other very good Mexican restaurants locally that are typically about half the price. While it was very good, because of the cost I think we’ll keep it on the list as a last resort. The others are just as good at a much lower price point.

We tried it 2 times.

First time, we went with company. They didn’t have any of the three things that we wanted to order (wow!)…so we left and went to Ft Wayne to eat. How embarrassing for us, having taken company there!!

Second time, we went (trying to give them a fair chance and willing to try again). I ended up just eating chips and cheese because they would not substitute sauces on the meals with something I could eat – without charging exorbitant prices! ‍♀️ The other person in my party had a burrito combo….and the food was very bland and unappealing to them.

Would not recommend this place to anyone, sadly. Make the trip to Ft Wayne and get good Mexican food you’ll be happy with.

Stopped here randomly for a quick bite to eat and was surprised beyond all belief. Their salsa and chips were so fresh and tasted amazing. I ordered the chimichanga with ground beef and the flavor was explosive. Food was pretty cheap as well, I payed 10 bucks for a huge plate of food that was fresh and tasted better than any Mexican food I’ve ever eaten! Will come back again !

4.5 out of 5 Stars – Ate here for the first time on Saturday night around 9 pm. I was worried that the food might be old or stale as they close at 10 p.m. . I was pleasantly surprised. The chips were warm and fresh and tasty. The red salsa on the table was nicely spicy. I had carnitas tacos and they were amazing! The best I’ve ever had. I had a chicken tamale it was quite good. The only problem I had was that the open end of the tamale had gotten dried out but the flavor was delicious. I even took a dozen tamales home but I would really encourage them to figure out how to keep the open end from drying out. The horchata was also delicious without the weird aftertaste I often find in this drink at different restaurants. Service was fast and employees were friendly. The restaurant was nice and clean. I look forward to going here again to try different items from the menu.

Good food – Family owned & run. Nice, clean, very fast, & polite service. I don’t give it 5 stars just because they didn’t have guacamole, which I expected at a Mexican restaurant especially since I can’t eat salsa. But, other than that it was great.

Not a great experience. Atmosphere is very awkwardly quiet and basic, servers not very friendly and welcoming. She even told our daughter she couldn’t get a kids meal, which seemed very out of place and not appropriate. Food was okay…nothing amazing. There are too many great Mexican restaurants in the Fort Wayne area, recommend not going here.
