My husband surprised me with dinner here for Valentine’s Day. We had a fantastic ocean front view from our table and it was a great dining experience from beginning to end. The service was top notch and the food was exceptional! We will definitely return.

Could’ve been so great, but entrees were not cooked correctly. Came here using the gift card we were given from our hotel stay. Appetizer was delicious (mushroom flatbread). We ordered the Ribeye and Pork Chop for our entrees. Ribeye had no sear and was very bland. Pork Chop was very pink and underdone. I let them know. They sent it back to the chef and he confirmed it wasn’t cooked. Instead of refunding me for the uncooked (and dangerous) pork, they gave us two free desserts. They still made us pay for the pork chop even though I only ate a couple bites because I was concerned about its safety. The desserts came (crème brûlée and strawberry tart) and the crème filling on both was watery and seemed underdone as well. Ambiance and table service here was outstanding but the cooking was concerning and unsafe. Very disappointed.

Our first night at the Island Vista we decided to try The Cypress Room for dinner. Sat at the bar and my beau had a beer and I had a Crown Royal apple & salted caramel concoction. For dinner we ordered pizza and wings. It was delicious! Fresh made dough, sauce and veggies. Wings were cooked thru and crispy on the outside-just like I wanted. Our bartender was accommodating and staff were friendly! Chill atmosphere & quiet for a Friday night but it was November. Our second night, we called in an order to pick up. We both decided on a Cypress Room Burger! Cooked to order. I loved the smoky bacon and red marmalade onions! Fries were seasoned and crispy on the outside. We will be eating here on our next visit! Remember they add gratuity to each bill and it’s well deserved!

Enjoyed a wonderful elegant dinner this evening with our two daughters. It was the perfect evening with very attentive wait staff. From the moment you walk through the doors you are treated like a vip right from the start. Love the dining by the ocean outdoors it was such a nice touch to end our last evening here and the food was wonderful as were the drinks we had! 10/10 thank you for making our vacation a memorable one!

We are frequent stayers at the Island Vista Resort. We barely have eaten breakfast in the Cypress Room. This time. I ordered for pick up. When I went to pick up the order, they had given me almost less than a cup of apple juice for my kids. Since they are teenagers, I asked for a full cup ( which is small) and she said she would charge me more. She ended up charging me 2 small and 2 large for a total of $16.00 for 2 small cups!! What a rip off ( I didn’t see the bill until later, my mistake!) Then my husband had asked for extra Holliandise sauce for his eggs, they charged $3.50 for a tiny container! You would think they would just throw it in there, but no, they charge everything!!! Therefore, I ended up paying almost $100.00 for breakfast ( $99.35 to be exact for 4 people!) The food was so-so, nothing to rave about! My kid’s French toast had no flavor and tasted like two slices of bread toasted and soggy! Pancakes were flat and were nothing extraordinary . The English muffins were as hard as my head! Too overpriced! You are better off going to a local pancake house and get more for your money! I will never order here again!
The place is nice, that’s the only good thing I could say about this place!

Amazing restaurant. Came here for New Year’s Eve. The food was perfectly cooked and the service was top notch. They also had a gentleman playing the guitar who did an excellent job. 10/10 would recommend for any visit to Myrtle. It’s a nice atmosphere with great food and service

This place is extremely good, they cater for all tastes and they do it well.
From a tasty burger from the tiki hut, to small plates by the bar, to fine dining at an exquisite standard, or a really tasty pizza for take away (the dough is great).
Pictured below are the flounder with crab topping followed by a crème brûlée and a keylime pie. The portions are very generous and that was after a tasty salad. Shannon the waitress was bubbly and a joy and she just tempted us into them.
The bar and the Tiki hut are fun and they are staffed by very likable personalities.
Just tell Morgan, John or Alex that I sent you and they will look at you funnily.
They will seriously go out their way to make sure you get what you want and they contributed greatly to our vacation fun.

The only reason i didnt give 5 stars was because it was expensive to me just like most places in myrtle beach. The food was good and so was the service, but 58.00 for breakfast is high to me. They do give you a gift card at the front desk but that is gone in one sitting. Other than that i loved it!

Nice Oceanview restaurant at Island vista resort. Make sure to get a parking pass from front desk. Food was good, had a coupon for a complimentary appetizer, which we had to discuss with the manager who didn’t know anything about it. Food was good, I think it was the servers first day as he wea very nervous and unsure of specials and how to serve. But in his defense he was trying.
