The waitress we had was very sweet and attentive. I ordered the mixed berry pancakes, coffee and bacon/cheese omelet. Everything was delicious. Food came out fast. It was very neat and clean and the decor is beautiful. Definitely coming back again.

My expectation exceeded upon entering . When you enter it’s so homey and that country feeling. Servers were very warm and always a smile on their face. Their food is always good. The servings are generous and it’s still reasonable . Restroom is well kept . Definitely we will go back here again.

Service was quick, friendly and helpful. Granted it was a slow day. We ordered the blintzes and Santa Fe Benedict. The Benedict was good, the blintzes were okay. Definitely enjoyed the large portion of fruit with the blintzes as well as the batter/crepe bit. I felt like the cheesy blintze filling could use some work. Will be back to try some more items. Will not be ordering the blintzes again. I typically enjoy blintzes. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience.

Having family in Iceland, I was absolutely delighted to hear that one of Chico’s newest restaurants was heavily inspired by the national cuisine. From my experience, food has always been good and portions extremely generous, while retaining a price level which is unbeatable in a competitive college environment. Their Icelandic Pancakes taste exactly like the real thing, and their meats are always perfectly cooked.

Third time here. Food never fails to please. The place was packed 10 to 11am. Service was extremely slow. We had go ask for coffee. Ask for spoons. Coffee seconds came around in a timely fashion. Known for eggs benedict, I went with the classic. Absolutely delicious. So I recommend this place if you want to have a long chat with friend. If alone bring book. Coffee tastes great. Kind people run the place. I’ll be back.

I ordered the Basque omelette. It was very dry and tough, and the “chorizo” resembled the sausage meat that comes from pigs in a blanket. It was NOT chorizo at all.

I also ordered the Blintzes with fresh berries. The crepe part was so decadent and melt-in-your mouth delicious as was the raspberry sauce they had with it, but the ricotta cheese that was folded into the blintze had a scrambled, chunky egg kind of texture, almost like they blended the ricotta cheese and instead of the normal texture that ricotta cheese has, I was eating a dry and blended mixture of rough and crumbly cheese. It gave the overall crepe an unpleasant and distasteful texture.

Then we got in a second order and they sent in burnt pancakes and burnt potatoes. It’s a little worse because whoever sent this out knew they had burnt the pancake and put it under the first one, same with the burnt potatoes.

I had been meaning to try this place since it appeared a little while ago. Very happy I did! I little preface, though – I just got back from Italy and am once again accustomed to the waitstaff leaving you alone (for the most part) during the duration of your meal. While the food here was fantastic, from the exquisite french toast with berries to the Greek omelet, the service needs just a few tweaks. In the first 3 minutes of us sitting down, three different people asked us if we’d like to order drinks. Throughout the first 20 minutes, various staff came to our table to ask various things that had just been asked by other staff.

So, all-in-all, great place that just needs to find the balance between excellent customer service and being overbearing and annoying. I have no doubts that they will find that balance soon.

Look forward to going back and trying more tasty things on the menu!

We were expecting great food in a cute place…the place is cute but Denny’s has just as good food for way less.
The staff is fantastic!!!! If service is your #1 thing then come here! They were packed but we were seated immediately. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, personable, extremely prompt and added a personal touch…that gave it that small town feel that we all love about Chico. They even set the air to cooler when we said it was kinda warm in there.
The atmosphere is exactly as pictured. Very cute and clean.
However, the food…it was disappointing. It was all cooked perfectly to order and that’s enough for some people. But I choose locally owned places cause I want more then cooked to order. Knowing how to cook an egg properly doesn’t make you special. Being that it’s a country style restaurant I expect and was glad that they cooked everything on my plate with butter, thank you. But there was no pepper. There was practically no seasoning at all. A tiny bit a parsley and the butter it was cooked in taste and looked to be pretty much it. I mean, toss some garlic and shallots in the pan with you fry up that steak! Offer it with some gruyere, gouda or even blue cheese on top! Wrap it in some bacon! Something! I won’t even mention how thin it was, cause you can see in this pic that the handle of the knife was about as thick as the steak. Truly, we could go to Denny’s and get the same plate of food for $7 less. Come on ya’ll! Ya’ll can be outstanding! Stop settling for just ok.
It made me sad cause I really thought for sure this place was gonna become my favorite.

Wish the food was as fantastic as the service! Make it so and I’ll come back.

Wonderful staff, beautiful decor and the food was delicious. Will be back! Kids menu was great and portion size was perfect for my little ones. There was a basket of children’s books at the entrance, really awesome.
