We are proud to offer a wide variety of Italian dishes, including pizzas, pastas, and our famous antipasto bar. We also have a full bar and offer a variety of wines and beers. We are open for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. Our coffee bar is open 7 days a week!

There is something so incredible about a place that WANTS you to have a positive experience. The management is truly incredible. Christopher ( our server) and the rest of the management team truly did an incredible job making sure we had a great time: this is our new favorite Italian restaurant. The carbonara is delicious, as is either vodka sauce pizza or pasta option! The fried artichoke was a pleasant yummy suprise that we would not have considered but will every time moving forward! Thank you for a great time! We love a place that treats you with respect no matter what!
FYI: all of the spritz beverages are Phenomenal.

I don’t typically leave reviews but this place was such an unexpectedly great experience I had to. Everyone was lovely and accommodating, particularly our host Chris who was hilarious and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was cooked and seasoned perfectly – definitely at the top of my list for Italian food in DC. We were delighted by the desserts and the fresh little cookies they bring directly on the bakery tray. Looking forward to coming here again!

Near perfect experience! I got there before the kitchen was open (had a reservation but got out of work earlier than expected so I walked in); had the sweet fennel sausage and peppers pizza for as an appetizer…perfetto!! My entree…Red Snapper Livornese was near perfect (I would have preferred a little crunch in the fish). My dessert…Bomboloni (I wish I could upload the aroma of the cinnamon they were rolled in). And finally I have to give a shoutout to my server Johana; she was on it with her recommendations and attentiveness. Well done all around Cafe Fiorello!

Sister and I went here while visiting when we were not that hungry…so we ordered one pizza to share. Tempting to order more as the menu looked amazing. Before we ordered, several people (management) came to visit our table and ask if we had questions. One explained how he had been in NYC with the restaurant there for 10 years but came down to help open this one. Anyway…important to note service was top notch. The wait staff seemed very serious and quiet…clearly being watched over by this one guy from NYC. When we ordered only pizza (and explained we were not that hungry), everything changed. The management guy never came up again even to ask how our food was…by the end, the only person helping us was the guy filling our water. The NYC guy went up to converse with tables all around us..he even took them a tray of cookies and skipped our table. In the end, we did order dessert..was just ok (lemon pie and tiramissu, mostly cream). We had an issue paying with an app we were using. The NYC guy (who I stopped to ask for help) couldn’t figure it out and brought over another manager we had seen at the beginning. He was quite nice and helpful and helped us. Anyway, we planned to go back hungry today to try other items (our last day here)…after thinking about the service, we will go elsewhere. I’ve never experienced anything like this before (I’m a foodie and eat out a lot). Hope this review helps.

Highly recommend this restaurant if you want authentic Italian with great service and a cozy, classic atmosphere! Everything we had here from the wine, to the Caesar salad to the entrees (rigatoni vodka and burrata ravioli) and even the coffee with our cannolis was delicious. The service was above and beyond, we even got complimentary cookies once our meal was over!

New review July 2025:
You’re going to struggle to find a better overall Italian dining experience in the area. Four of us went this time before going to national theatre and we had perfect service that got us out in time.
The espresso martini was creamy and chocolatey which I don’t like but my friend fell in love with. He’ll be having another next time. My other friend tried their spritz and she loved it too.
The trio of vegetables were good and I went crazy for the mushrooms. The broccolini was a bit under seasoned.
I do not like tavern style pizza crust ever, and this could be the only exception to the rule. The honey with the pepperoni is to die for.
My linguini and clams was good, exactly what you’d expect but my friends chicken parm was the star of the table. You have to try it when there. It is ridiculous.
We’ll definitely be back again.
Original review:
Great food and great service. We both loved the meatball appetizer but the servings are too small and the sauce is good, but thin. I would have loved pepper flakes or a kick in it but my friend loved it.
He had the lobster carbonara and I tried some. It was cooked to perfection but it was heavy on the salt. The dish has bacon and lobster, it didn’t need as much extra salt as they put in it.
I had the tagliatelle and it was delicious. Cooked exactly how it should be. The sequoia grove Cabernet however is too young. They’re serve a 2022. It needs a couple more years in the bottle. The 2018 is the same price and opens perfect. It was nice to see it by the glass. That is not often so I went with it.
We will be back.

I was very happy with both the service and the food quality. The octopus salad was excellent, the lobster pasta is highly recommended, and the pizza with burrata, oh my god, was amazing. Perfect choice if you love thin crust pizza. Definitely coming back!

Must recommend! Food is top quality, you can taste they’re using good quality, fresh ingredients, true roman pizza, lasagna was delicious and the creamiest carbonara pasta ever. Atmosphere is fancy but also felt cozy and service is the cherry on top, Gio our server made us feel like old friends taking great care of us throughout the night. Only regret is not being locals so we can come back!

Spent a week in DC… Craving authentic
WF Pizza – Sweet Fennel Sausage & Peppers was savory, yet light. Insalta Di Casa featuring kale, radicchio, fennel, plus generous parma shavings a must!
Returned for authentic pasta dinner – table by the window with lovely views. Homemade Tagliatelle Bolognese and Rigatoni Alla Vodka delicious. Topped off our evening with Aperol Spritz & deserts. The staff made us feel very special and we highly recommend!
