Unacceptable Service & Delivery Experience
I placed my order at 6:52 PM with an estimated delivery time of 7:37 PM. Instead, I did not receive my pizza until 9:04 PM—that’s over 2 hours and 15 minutes later.
Here’s what happened:
• I waited patiently, but by 8:16 PM (an hour and 24 minutes after ordering) I had to call the Mountain Mike’s Carlsbad/Oceanside location directly to ask what was going on.
• From the DoorDash order log, it’s clear they didn’t even confirm my order until the same time I called—8:16 PM—as if they had forgotten about it entirely until I reminded them.
• The DoorDash driver finally picked up the pizza at 8:38 PM, which is not the driver’s fault, but shows how badly the restaurant delayed making my order.
• When the pizza finally arrived, it was cold.
This whole process was a mess, and what’s worse is that Mountain Mike’s doesn’t tell you upfront that their “delivery” is actually contracted out through DoorDash. That would be fine if they managed their orders responsibly, but clearly they do not.
For nearly $60, there is no excuse for this kind of service—cold pizza, a 2+ hour wait, and having to call the store myself just to get them to notice my order.
I won’t be ordering from this location again, and I recommend others avoid delivery here unless you want a frustrating, disappointing experience

I ordered some pizza and breadsticks online. I definitely think the pizza was an old pizza that was reheated. It definitely did NOT look or taste fresh. The crust and pepperonis were burnt, the cheese tasted old, the crust was very stale along with the dough ️.
The garlic bread were hard and tasteless as a rock.
Blue cheese containers were dated 2/17 and it was 2/24.
$43 I’m sorry to say but digorno definitely would have been better and about 35$ cheaper. I cannot come back to this location.

Beware, this location does not include ingredients as advertised. For carryout, be sure to check your food before leaving or you may be disappointed.
Also, they have been shut down for safety/health violations recently, so beware for your health risks if you eat here.
So, I ordered their antipasto salad and a pizza for carryout. When I got home, I realized that 2 major ingredients were missing from the salad, garbanzo beans and ham. I called and spoke to Linea who first offered to give me the ingredients if I came back. Well, I wasn’t available to make another trip due to their mistake.
Next, she offered me a partial credit for future purchase or refund. When I asked if the credit would be emailed (concerned they may not remember), she sounded confused, so I said I’d prefer the refund to avoid future issues.
She said her asst. mgr. would have to issue the refund & it would be done later that day. When I didn’t see the refund the next day, I called several times and they never answered the phone despite waiting on hold for as much as 10 minutes a few times.
Finally, it was a bit concerning that my pizza was sitting on the pass uncovered when I came to pick it up. She checked the heated storage to her left and couldn’t find it, but then turned around and saw my pizza sitting behind her and had to shout to the staff to slice it.
Overall, it’s unfortunate since my company orders from this place often, so I thought I’d give them a chance personally, but after this, no way. Very unprofessional & disappointing.

UPDATE: Visited for lunch and tried the pizza buffet. I usually avoid buffets, but this one is great. Everything fresh, replenished often. Got to meet the manager Ale (pronounced Allie) and she is delightful! The whole place is sparkling clean and such a pleasure to see young people taking such care to provide impeccable service. And by the way, try the artichoke pizza – delicious!
Delicious pizza. Jacob is personable and helpful. He took care of us even before we had a chance to ask for something. If I had a business, I would hire this guy! It seemed they were a little short-handed and the post-lunch atmosphere was a little messy. However, Jacob (to the rescue again) tidied everything up. We’ll be back.

Ordered custom pizza, asked for garlic chicken, never included the olives but for some reason got the pizza with olives, so much olives it made it taste not good, we had to pick it out. When called to confirm our order, the lady told us our order was for a delivery so we waited and waited but nobody brought anything so we finally went there and our pizza was just sitting there, poor customer service, i don’t recommend this place.

The place was continuously busy and they were very kind and apologetic for not being as fast as the people in front of me ordering who wanted her to be quicker, when the people ordering where taking a long time. What you going to do ♀️ Wait?!

The wings… I wouldn’t order again. They had a good flavor but we asked for crispy and just can’t eat them non-crispy. Nobody in the family. So. yes they made a mistake but it doesn’t mean the whole experience was ruined.
The place is small, we love it! Feels cozy and lots of locals having a drink at the bar.

It’s not horrible. The veggies on the pizza were delicious. I couldn’t really taste the sauce and the pizza crust reminded me of a frozen pizza.
Thirty dollars for a medium pizza and a soda of this caliber is on the steep side. The establishment is very clean and the people are friendly.

Shockingly disappointed – especially considering the price. If you enjoy good pizza (even average), don’t waste your time here. The most absolutely, stunningly disappointing thing was the order of 6 wings for $13 and they were Tyson wings for toddlers. The pizza was undercooked, doughy – altogether unsatisfying. I’m never going to buy here again. Way too expensive for the frozen foods quality of food you get.
