The Greenery is always the go-to place when you want some good quality, often local food, prepared quite well. I have eaten there many times over the last 10 years and I have never been disappointed. To make things a notch sweeter, the owner is always there and cares about her clientele. If you are looking for a little bit of ambiance, with personable service and quality food, visit the Gleanery.

Great place, simple menu and very beautifully presented dishes.
We were in a rush and they got out our meal very quickly, so we were very appreciative.
Some things to improve:
It’s not clear where to enter the restaurant, we were wandering a bit before finding a server to help
It doesn’t seem like the restaurant has enough staff to take care of customers because it was hard to get their attention. Frequently the servers were running around.

Our first visit after so many friends have recommended us going for dinner, glad we did. Great atmosphere, delicious bread and butter (chives) while we waited for clam chowder, which was amazing.
We’d go back but I don’t think I’d get the fish tacos, wish I’d taken a pic, great presentation of food but the tartar sauce was heavier than I expected. Good but I’d try something else from their menu when we go back.

The ambience of the place is very rustic, and done really well. Very warm & welcoming staff. There’s a prix fixe dinner, which I believe changes daily. Salad, Entre, and dessert. The salad was amazing! That was a shocker! So fresh & tasty. The entree was between a lemon chicken or a pan seared trout. I went with the trout. It was cooked perfectly. Skin was crispy and fish was tender. Dessert was excellent. It was a slice of pie(can’t remember), a creme brulee, and a mint chocolate mousse. I had an IPA to drink, it was delicious.

Yum! Great farm to table option in the area of Walpole and Brattleboro. We would have eaten anything on the menu but had the grilled hanger steak with vegetables and potatoes and the local mushroom risotto. Nice bread with chive butter to start and they have a full bar so had a nice pour dirty martini. The ambiance was nice too – good jazz and very homey – like being invited to dinner at someone’s farm house. Street parking was easy and a few vegetarian options. Pro tip: portions are larger so would recommend sharing!

Very tasty and flavorful food. Fresh ingredients and delicious sauces. We had the burger, BLT, and blueberry cheesecake (which I highly recommend). Very friendly wait staff and nice atmosphere sitting on the porch.

Had a lovely late summer lunch in the spacious room inside. Very nicely renovated with exposed beams. Delicious meal, small portion sizes. Had the beets/ bortsh soup, tacos with roasted eggplants and cocoa crème brûlée.

It’s hidden gems like this that make for a memorable experience. My parents and I took a drive through New England and happened to stumble upon this place, and I’m glad we did! The atmosphere is very laid back, set in this old colonial farmhouse. The food was amazing, farm fresh and organic! It is a bit pricey (but still worth it!) Their menu is rather small and changes frequently depending on what produce they get, but whatever chef they have in the kitchen really knows what to cook up! You won’t be disappointed if you stop here!

Had the most delicious lunch here last week while visiting beautiful Vermont. Charming decor with a very relaxed atmosphere. I really enjoyed the black bean soup. Just the right amount of spice and very hearty. I would definitely come back!
