Showed up late, near closing time. The place was empty and only the owners were there, cleaning up and getting ready to go home. The owner, although he doesn’t speak the best english, was immensely kind and directed me to a few items on the menu that he thought I would enjoy.
Ended up ordering the Fish Po Boy because he highly recommended the fish baskets to me and I wanted to keep it simple – also ordered their Shrimp Gumbo just to try it out.
My order was cooked up fresh and quickly! Everything was beautifully seasoned and delicious. I loved the sandwich and the gumbo both and am looking forward to going back to try the rest of their menu.
The only problem that I saw happen was that they put small, plastic skewers in their sandwiches and one of them somehow got cooked into my fries (but, hey, that means they were fresh!) so they may want to ditch those in the future. Otherwise, everything was hot, delicious, and well worth it.
Recommend this place, for sure.
Edit: Went back during dinner the other day and ordered the Grilled Shrimp, Chicken Flautas, and Chocolate Cheesecake. Everything was beautifully seasoned and delicious. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I come here very often with my boyfriend and have never been disappointed. The food is served in great, large portions and served hot!

Pretty good place! You wouldn’t think it was still open from the outside view, but rest assured it still is! The inside is a rather quaint little seafood restaurant.
I got the fried catfish single filet (comes with fries) and a water to drink.
The fish and fries were very hot
And I’m very happy to say, the water didn’t taste off! A lot of places around Commerce have a weird taste to the water, but not here.
Prices are reasonable. Worth checking out if you’re looking for a local seafood place.

Comfort food place if you like cozy seafood. Nice folks. Spanish is most heard language but they do speak English.

Clean spot, you’ll feel the ac the closer you get to the register. You order first then sit anywhere and bring your order to the table but do not bring condiments. Lemon wedge served with our meals, used to getting limes. The food was bland, but the amount of shrimp in the cocktail was more than I’ve ever seen. Will give it another try.

This family owned seafood restaurant is just excellent! The food is a delight!. It’s a small place, maybe 15-20 tables, and there’s often only 2 waitstaff, so service can be a wee bit slow when they’re full. The entrees are prepared as you order, so some stir fried or grilled items can take a little while to hit your table, but it will be worth it. I dropped them 1 star for the slower service, but I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Snow crabs were delicious once I adapted to the spicy Cajun sauce. Service was very friendly. Waitress was very attentive to our needs. The fish platter was very delicious and so we’re the hush puppies.
