The ribs were good but cant say much good about the chopped brisket sandwich. The meat was chopped to a pasty mush. Both top and bottom bun were SOAKED100% with an orange grease that soaked out of the meat on a ten min ride home. Not impressed.

The best family owned bbq place. I had the twisted nachos, my son had a twisted Tater and my mother in law had a chopped brisket sandwich. The prices are very reasonable, the food is full of flavor and the owner and staff are super friendly and welcoming. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

They have earned the 4.9. Probably should be a 5. The food is exceptional and I don’t even like bbq. As I finished my sandwich I thought to myself “I can’t wait to eat here again.” I’ve never said that at a bbq place before. Owner was outside and talking to the patrons. Workers were extremely personable. Literally everything is right about this place. The fact that anyone gave them less than 5 stars is a travesty.

We were in route from south Texas going home to Arkansas and spent the night in Cartidge. Found Twisted Hickory bar-b-que on line and decided to check it out, as we were craving some good Texas bar-b-que. Needless to say, the food at this place was awesome. Keith and Tina, the owners, were the most courteous and gracious hosts imaginable. And the brisket, ribs, and burnt ends were the absolute best we have had in a very long time. We would not for a minute hold back from recommending anyone to check out their awesome food. Please try them out!!

I had the pleasure of meeting Keith, his awesome Family and staff today. Keith is a Christian Man who certainly is all about GOD Country and Family. His customers mean a lot to him as well and he demonstrated that to me today. I asked for the loose cut and he knew exactly what I was asking for; the Mother of Pearl lol. Keith took out a fresh out the pit brisket and cut it up especially for me. Now that is customer service at its finest. We then had some GODLY fellowship and discussed his future expansion. I could have stayed all day visiting with Keith and his infectious smile and awesome tasting BBQ. He said he perfected his 11 spices, never told me what they were; you have to try it. Keith’s price are reasonable for the amount of food you get, just look at my pictures, lol. There is some tables that you can sit and enjoy your food there. This is certainly a must stop to eat at. I will say that the Lord lead me here today. I am from Houston and will make a special trip to come back and enjoy the Fellowship and awesome selection of fresh food and not left overs warmed up like some other places. Please go by and patronize Keith and Family they are deserving of your business. They have all kinds of daily specials.

Best BBQ I’ve had in a long time! Every person that worked there was extremely nice and the food was so good!! I would give this more stars if I could. They had some old classics with their delicious sauce and a few twists like the parfait that I got with a rib. If you are near or traveling through and want some amazing food with exceptional customer service don’t pass this place up!

We were in Carthage on a day trip and decided to give this place a try. The BBQ was fantastic!!!! We tried 5 of their protein offerings and every one was tender, juicy and full of flavor (no sauce necessary on any of them, but the sauce was so good!) The pork belly is exactly as they describe, meat candy!!! Wonderful, meaty burnt ends and the kickin chicken was perfect. They offer a great selection of good sides and a specialty item, the Parfait (yes, it’s a BBQ parfait!). The added bonus to our lunch was the friendliness of the owners/staff. They made sure to check in on us while we enjoyed our meal and thanked us for stopping by. If you’re in the area, driving through, or live in Carthage, don’t miss out!!!

Wonderful service and food. My son, who goes to college in VA, wanted some Bbq before returning to campus. After our meal, we purchased slabs of ribs for the next day! Terrific is an understatement.
