Just dined here a few hours ago and I thought my experience would’ve been great with the food. Service and atmosphere was well up to par and although the food looked tasty it fell completely short. The jerk chicken was cooked thoroughly but it lacked its spice and wasn’t marinated long enough and I was highly disappointed as someone who is (Guyanese) I know what jerk is supposed to taste like. The Rasta pasta I felt was mediocre. It barely had any spice and lacked seasoning. The plantains and cabbage however was pretty decent but over all I could’ve went to Applebees for the same taste… I’m not sure if the chef was feeling it tonight but maybe next time the seasonings will hit on point. Food is a 5.5/10 for me. I’m iffy on returning back. (the pork tacos were 8/10) def recommend though

Just had an amazing meal at Flame! The beans and rice was so perfectly seasoned, plantain cooked to perfection. My jerk chicken was tender and very well-seasoned. My son had the king fish and cleaned his plate. I already sent friends in Oahu pics as they are coming in June, my treat we are going!! Price make it affordable to treat guests to great Jamaican food!

They roped me in with amazing pictures on Facebook. What I was served was significantly different. The jerk wings in photos glistened and the spices were beautiful. The actual wings looked like they were rolled in mud and boiled. The skin was chewy/gummy and the meat was overcooked. The curry goat had fantastic flavor, but the content was about 50% meat and 50% skin, cartilage, and bones. The fried plantains were nearly flavorless and forgettable. Finally, $3.50 for a 16 oz soda with no refills is ridiculous.
If you want really good Jamaican food, Richie’s Jerk & BBQ in Sanford, Maine is fantastic. Night and day better than this place.

NOT AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN FOOD.
I decided to make the drive after seeing all the positive reviews, but unfortunately, this was the worst Jamaican food I’ve ever had. Nothing about the flavors or preparation felt authentic. While the oxtail was tender, it lacked the signature Jamaican spices and flavor. The stew was a light brown color, which is very different from the rich, deep color you’d expect from a true Jamaican restaurant, and it was mostly bones. The rice was incredibly bland and tasted as if an excessive amount of sugar had been added. I received a few slices of plantains and most of it was burnt. I did not order fries but found a half piece of fries in my plantains. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
Also, No Jamaica or black servers/ workers on site. You wouldn’t know it was a Jamaican restaurant without the aesthetics.

This place is a hidden Gem, everyone needs to know about and try it out for yourselves! My first time going to the Flame! we had jerk chicken wings, my husband had ribs and i had jerk chicken. This was an amazing meal! The wings were spicy but full of flavor! the ribs were off the bone melt in your mouth bursting with goodness! my jerk chicken, one my favorite meals was out of this world loved the crunchy crust on the chicken! beans and rice had a sweetness flavor to them, and the cooked cabbage was so good i could just come back to eat that alone! can not wait to come back to try the Bammy bread and jerk seasoned fish! see you guys again real soon! loved it!

Walking into Flame Jamaican Cuisine felt like stepping straight into a warm Jamaican hug, right here in New Hampshire. Conrad, Chris, and Lee have done something special – they’ve brought a slice of Jamaica to us, and it’s as authentic as it gets. From the get-go, their vibes were all about making us feel at home, like we were old friends catching up over some seriously good food. And let me tell you, the place has a vibe that just sets you up for a fantastic meal.
Now, onto the good stuff – the food! We dove into the Rasta Pasta, and it was like a flavor bomb went off – creamy, spicy, and just downright delicious. The Jerk Chicken? Oh, it was the real deal, with just the right kick and smokiness. But the showstopper was the Curry Goat – tender, flavorful, and had us savoring every bite. They don’t skimp on portions either, so you get that generous Jamaican hospitality on your plate. We were so wowed by the taste that we ended up taking more home for dinner. Big shoutout to Conrad, Chris, and Lee for bringing this gem to our doorstep. Honestly, it’s one of the best meals I’ve had in a long while.
